2008 Subaru Forester - Page 2 Questions & Answers
Hi, My 2008 Subaru Forester
it is possible that the battery is faulty, most batteries only have two years warranty, it might be a good idea to replace it anyway because it may not last much longer anyway......hope this helps......cheers
1999 Subaru Forster Noise
My first reaction to what you describe is the front CV joints. If worn these will click quite loudly on a slow hard turn such as in a parking lot. The steering vibration is probably wheel balance and although not related, one can make the other worse. First off ckeck your front wheels for bends or curb damage. Check the tyres for uneven wear, bulges, or blisters on the side walls and beneath the tread. Check your front brake rotors for scoring and grooving. And check around the front axles inside the front wheels for thrown grease. Check the boots on the CV joints for splits or other damage and deterioration. If you find all or any of these things, have your mechanic give you a price to replace the faulty components. We usually use rebuilt CV joint assemblies, on an exchange basis.
Subaru forester 8/2008 location of air bag sensor
usually in stering collum, warning THIS IS NOT SOMETHING U WANT TO MESS WITH IT COULD TRIGER THE EXPLOSIVE CHARGE IN THE AIR BAG,causing sever injury or death, call dealer ship and ask them where it is
1998 Forester. Changed the fuse for the door
have you tried disconnecting the battery, maybe the system needs reset, and this is normally the easiest way to do it.....if this doesnt work, then you either have a faulty relay, or an earthing problem......
Replacing a rear view mirror
You have to CAREFULLY ( probably wise to wear safety goggles ) and with a flat blade screwdriver, pry out ALL the broken mirror glass wearing gloves. Now with the 2 adhesive strips, align mirror glass and adhere to base. Hope this helps
Rear limited slip diff test
hi jack it up with one of your rear wheels off the ground the other on the ground if your diffs locked up it will stall and try to move your motor if its ok the wheel will just rotate the wheel that is off the ground rare to have a locked diff though plus if you you go round in a circle a right one then a left one it should go smoothly in a circle if the back end sways make a note of is it both sides or just one side yates210456
Sounds like flat tire but tire is not flat
I suspect that the tire is old and the steel belts are failing. Pull the wheel off and check the tire for cracks in the tread, any out of round or bulges. Get a new tire (or tires).
