Changing the plugs
Please use this for reference only since I have a 1996 C 220.
On the top center of the motor is a cover over the spark plugs. Remove
the cover and you should see your plug wires. Obviously just unplug
wires and remove the plugs. However I did not have a spark plug wrench
the held the plug so I had to put the plug into the wire and slightly
twist the plug into the opening. I then removed the wire again and used
the wrench to tighten. Only do one plug at a time obviously.

Trouble with car
Phantom coolant level warning which turned out to be erroneous. No problem found and no catastrophic meltdown. Just the inconvenience of having to take it into the dealer to be checked.

How do i check oil
Hi claude?
There is no deepstick for the engine oil. You can check your oil level from the steering wheel controls. Turn the ignition on, do not start the engine. press the page button till the milage and the trip miles are displaied. press the arrow button up or down till it comes up with engine oil level check, and wait till the engine has meassured the oil level.
If you want to change the oil, you need to measure how much oil comes out of the engine and put the same amount back in.
How to check autogearbox oil level on 2005
If your car with 5 speed automatic transmission there are special dipstick for it, it only have with dealers workshop, drive there and ask them need to check trans oil, if u found right dipstick you can check it your self, trans mission dipstick tube locate at back side the engine at right of middle, dipstick tube have covered by black cap with read lock, first you have to brake read lock and push remain read plastic lock inside the cap by small flat screw driver, and open cap, then keep engine running and check oil level if your car trans oil cold it should be the cold level on dipstick for check trans oil you must have better knowledge for that it mean oil level be deference and deference temperature better ask mechanic to check it, if your car have the 7speed trans mission you can't check oil level because it's need to plug diagnostics computer in to the your car and get trans oil in to 45 degree temperature, The oil temperature can check only diagnose CPU and also after rich the 45 degree temp need to open drain plug screw and check level for do this must need to get experience technicians service, is this information helped you?
How to fill automatic trans.
the easiest way would be to pour the transmission fluid directly down the automatic dipstick hole via a funnel hope this helps regards Jim
My 2004 mercedes-benz s500 radio turns on then says system unavailable and shuts off. I've tried to reset it to no avail
post all things that fail and work both
all maters
engine starts , runs , drives ok ,day or night?
all other electrical things on the car ,as in ALL do in fact work correctly?
or just the RADIO on the car fails.
many cars now the RADIO is part of the CAN , the car Area Network. and if that fails so does the RADIO.
if is in fact a factory RADIO there from MB.
what to do.
well
check all fuses first. never skip the easy first step and a 50cent cure..
next scan the USA? OBD2 scan port, and look for Radio errors
like COMM failures codes.
can I assume this RADIO is not SDAR , satelite radio
if is did you path the subscription bills? $$$$$$
or
the RD is base Radio and both are in fact CAN bus controlled
so yes, it must be scanned first, after fuses
sorry this is no simple 80s radio, not at all
and is antitheft protected too.
i request this post be moved to cars and not computers.
here is more than 1 fuse, the RD shows 2, F1 and F2
my online docs, are not so good, on all MB.
get the car scanned in any shop.
see the DTC error codes. next.
