08 Hyundai accent clutch pedal seemed to jam, it wouldnt depress. Tried it again later, still really stiff then made a noise and started to depress, works ok now but not as smooth as before.

the accent should be an hydrolic type, and what you are saying says to me the, clutch plate and cover is exstreamly worn and needs to be replased , ie bent toggels ext, but firstly make shore nothing is restricting the clutch pedal being depresed under the foot well

2008 hyundai accent runs rough P0420 code

co0de p 0420 refers to vat converter bank 1 below threshold ===causes ---cat converter---wiring ---HO2S ( heated oxygen sensor in the exhaust manifold bank 1 before the cat converter) you have possible 2 problems 1--- the HO2S is faulty but that alone will not result in what you describe It's function is to read the exhaust gas composition out of the combustion chamber and report to the ECM so that the air fuel ratio can be maintained according to set parameters the most likely problem is a failed cat converter that is blocking the exhaust system with the exhaust not flowing freely, there is excessive back pressure and that stops the exhaust gas from exiting the combustion chambers and so rpm is restricted and the economy takes a nose dive I would consider that you have the cat tested and /or replaced as that will be the base fault causing the problems

I HAVE ACCENT 2008 MY ENGINE DOES NOT WORKING

when washing an engine you have to be careful any seal on the electrics can be weak and water can get in this will disrupt the signals the ecu uses. you will need to remove one by one every sensor cap were the wiring goes in and check there is no water in them, even the ecu connection, any water found dry out and replace the seal as its weak, you have to be careful when washing engines they don't get that wet in normal running, i usually steam clean the engine bay as this does not use excessive amounts of water and removes oil and grease better than water on it own.

Hi, At cold start my Accent 2008 is knocking since apprx. a month, i went2 times and dind t hear it ! at the third times the light '' check engine'' went on . teh code of knock sensor

If you detected the engine knocking and the knock sensor also detected it to the extent it caused the ECM to set a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) then simply replacing the knock sensor was a waste of time and money, a case of shooting the messenger because you don't like the message. If the car is under warranty or guarantee then take it to the dealer for complete diagnostics. Do not under any circumstances be put off by lame explanations that they can't do anything. Take the car to other dealers to get written reports on the car. It is very important to get the reports in writing as this gives you legal protection with regard to the guarantee.

WHAT CAUSES A CAR TO STOP RUNNING WHILE PUMPING GAS

If you're pumping gas into a running car.....that's an invitation for a disastrous fire. Most newer cars have pressure sensors in the fuel tank for the pollution control system and safety systems. these systems prevent conditions for a refueling fire to exist.

2008 Hyundai Accent 2 door hatchback- passenger door is stuck and won't open from either inside or outside. What can I do without paying a lot?

Unfortunately not much. If the door will not open from inside/outside, it will most likely be a lock issue. In most cases, the door will need to be disassembled for access to the interior components. The door is not designed to be disassembled while closed. If put into the wrong hands for disassembly while the door is closed, you most likely will end up with interior panel damage which could cost more to repair/replace than having a pro complete the repair fist hand.
