2008 GMC Envoy. How can I get lighter unstuck?
Drill a hole in a piece of plywood that fits over the lighter. Have someone press the plywood onto the plastic. ISO 9141 and KWP 2000 this is a communication protacoll. when the scan tool is plug into the OBD port it uses a set amount of communication dialog to communicate with the ECM, Majority of time when a scan tool can not communicate with the vehicles ECM ,
Trailer wiring
Trailer wiring uses the fuses for the car lights. Turn signal, running ans brake lights. Some plugs also charge the trailer battery if so wired. Check the ground wire for a good body connection. This wire often gets overlooked and can stop all trailer lights if it fails.
GMC Envoy relearn procedure
The modules need to relearn the conditions it operates under. Take both battery cables off and touch them together for several minutes. Reconnect and start the engine. Drive the vehicle 20 or more miles in city traffic. That will relearn the modules.
Why are my backup sensors not coming on

Stabilizer traction control light is on, and lost cruise control
Cruise control will always disable itself when any CEL light is present, so that's normal. The Stabilitrak light problem is a known common problem with these. Your steering wheel position sensor needs to be replaced. Mine does it every morning IF my steering wheel wasn't put into a straight position when I parked it. Straighten the tires, turn the ignition off and restart. Light will go out.
