Normally, the radio needs be on to show time for it to be set. Mine is that way. If you have the radio on when yor trying to set time and it won't show time, I don't know the answer. But mine does show time when radio is on to set it. Then radio off and time displays when switch is on.

You need to call a mercedes benz dealer and talk to the service Department. They will tell you everything you need to know for your specific make /model/package. If you need assistance i will be glad to help.

Radio should have shut off automatically after 30 mins. have you an owner's manual? there is a 'mute' button on the radio. the 05 slk did not have a radio code to reenable it after battery replacement. my old 05 had some 'comand' quirks like could not find sat radio sometimes. when u get a new battery, it might magically work.

look in your owners manual under maintenance. the type of oil should be printed on the oil fill cap. and the type of filter can be looked up at any good auto parts store

Not sure about the European version, but the American factory version will not play video DVD's while the vehicle is in motion, (Drivers area) due to laws against this. Also...just to cover the non-factory installs, most aftermarket indash DVD players have a safety switch which prevents the driver from playing DVD movies while driving the vehicle. The vehicle must be in park for the DVD player to play a movie.
