Rick,The brake lamps on your Mercedes are computer-controlled. I would recommend scanning your computer network for possible fault codes.

• When you get a message that says "wait" it is because the wrong code was entered incorrectly. Each time the word "wait" appears the wait is a little longer. The radio must be on during this "wait" time. When it goes away then enter the code correctly and you will have no problems.

i cant remove the low beam because of the fuse box on my ml 500 2007

Turn key to position 2. press the button to show the service due light. release button. turn key off. press and hold the same button to view the service light, within 2 second turn key to position 2. wait up to 10 second and the light will reset to show new service. This may take a couple of trys (make sure the doors are shut).

Look in your owners manual and see if there is a diagram. You may have to contact your dealer and ask if they may have one.
If you want to do it the old fashion way and save some money you could follow the leads going out of the cigarette lighter to the fuse box.
