P0500 which location left or right?

Code 500 is for a problem with the vehicle speed sensor circuit, which is on the transmission, not one of the wheels. The circuit and sensor would need to be tested.

How do I replace the truck lifts/supports on my

The trunk lid unless damaged should be effortless to open.... unless you have a defective power closing device or a bent piston. Inspect for this before ordering parts from a Lexus dealer.
The 430 is an exceptionally well made car and this problem sounds very out of character unless there has been some unknown damage.
If on the other hand there was a bad component , LEXUS WOULD NORMALLY HAVE ISSUED A RECALL.

Same thing - loud ticking sound and sound system disabled=plshlp?

the ticking is most likely the injectors, since the high pressure fuel system was introduced the injectors are very noisy. however, if you have had the campaign on the fuel rails done recently, take it to whoever did it and make sure that they installed all the sound deadening. the stereo is most likely the amp if its making a high pitched whine noise all the time.

Is there a milage a used Lexus ls430 will continue to have parts fail? Thanks.

There are variable factors as to parts failures. Workmanship, usage habits, the part involved track record, maintenance habits. Your question is in general without examples given, suspension is all. Who made the parts, day, afternoon, or the nightshirt, yes there is a difference between shifts in manufacturing and assembling.
Get parts with warranty if possible. Get warranty on labor.
My saying is, too expensive to own an old car unless you work on it yourself.

How to change license plate bulb on a 2001 lexus ls430

Not, easy! The Bulb comes out from the inside of the Trunk So, you need to remove the Truck lid inside panel (See Video), reach up behind where the light attaches on the trunk lid, twist the Bulb socket out a 1/4 turn same direction ya unscrew a Jar lid and the Bulb pulls straight out (do not turn the bulb in the socket). Installation is reverse of what I just wrote. See you tube video; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R7vdo_YsARA

How do you charge the air conditioner for the ls 430

Under the hood of your car should be 2 ports., traditionally these are on aluminum pipes or lines. It would really be nice if they had two different colored plastic caps on them. Some do. One may be black, one blue. Anyway, these two ports are for the hoses of your testing gauge, and for the hoses of the refrigerant. One hose is high pressure, one is low pressure. If you wish to do it yourself, you can buy a gauge with hoses at a car parts store, and you will get instructions on how to use it and to charge the A/C with refrigerant, R-134. God bless your efforts.

I received a small check for a settlement Claim # TMUA1-10331404-0-CIL. Are improvements and corrections to my car available to me? I have a 2005 LS 430 Lexus

Sure the improvements are available. Most likely the check won't cover the costs. You'll have to contact a dealer to find out the recalls or fixes.

Gas valve solenoid

The gas tank is pressurized to about 7 PSI and after that the pressure relief in the gas cap lets go so the condition you describe may be normal or you need a new gas cap.. So you may just be hearing the fuel pump run and it is defective if it is that noisy.

Blowing blue smoke at start up

Hmm, is this an older car? Blue smoke on start-up is usually a sign of a very minor oil leak going past the rings. I normally do not consider this to be a problem if:
  1. The car has sat for an extended period of time.
  2. It only happens on the initial start up and doesn't do it after sitting for an hour or so.

most modern vehicles no longer have dipstics, but there is a fill plug, i do not know where it might be but look for a plug with a allen wrench hole on the tpo or upper side of the trans, with the plug removed add fluid untill you can see it thruogh the hole (if on top) or if it is on the side add untill it just starts to seep out at the bottom edge of the plug hole
