Replacing cup holder
I assume you mean the one that flips up in the center console?
If so, there are three likely issues.
1) did you slide out the retainer from the upper screw? the top screw had a cover that had to be pried off. you then took the screw out. Lastly you have to slide out the plastic retainer that the screw went into. It slides out towards the opening.
2) you have to have the cup holder partially open to remove it. the hinged part that folds up is stored in the cavity under the console when closed. you have to open the cup holder and keep pushing until the front of the cup holder lip comes up. Work the cup holder up and down until it comes out.
3) the cup holder is stuck in place due to years of spilled liquid. If you've done the above, then you can either spray soapy water on the creases around the opening and let it set, or you can apply strategic brute force.
Be aware through. if this is the center console cup holder just behind the gear shifter. There are two screws and nothing else to hold it in. Just be carefull....
Read and reset buttons not working
Try removing the fuse for the steering wheel module (swm) with the key on, but the engine off. it will reset the system.
Open the drivers door and look on the end of the dash. There is a cover with a place cut out to put your thumb in. remove the cover and on the backside it has a description of the fuses and positions.
If that doesn't help, it may need a new stalk or could possibly a steering wheel module issue.
Will start but wont stay running after spark plugs been changed
u shud change all the plug wires and the distributer cap-if has one--the surge probly comes from a vacuum leak or throttl area-maybe a tps or idle motor issue---get a repair manual like a haynes in zone or find a good private mechanic hoo can test drive it and du a scan on the computer system
Window will not go up
Front window? Replace the sliders and grease the tracks with WHITE LITHIUM GREASE. If the regulator arms aren't bent, it should work fine. Typically the arms on the regulator are bent. If that's the case where the arms can't be straightened, a replacement regulator is about $100 on ebay.
Front is making noise when I turn
Kim:
Check your wheel bearings and ball joints. Checking the wheel bearings: stand next to the front tire, crouch down, put your hands on the top of the tire, and try to rock the top of the tire by pushing the top of the tire away from you and pulling the top of the tire toward you (rock it hard and fast). do both front tires. Any noise or sideways movement of the tire is bad, (Bearings are worn) and needs to be repaired. Then, stand at the front corner of the car, and push down on the front corner of the car repeatedly (rocking the corner of the car up and down (Rock it up and down Hard) If you hear the popping noise your ball joints need to be replaced. If these tests don't work but you still get the popping noise when you drive, take the car to a mechanic. Popping noises from the front end of a car is dangerous. If anything happens up there, you could lose your steering!
Front brakes no pedal
If you installed the brakes yourself you have to pump the brake pedal a few times to get the calipers up. If you opened the brake bleeder valve for any reason then the brake hydraulic system has to be purged of all air. This is called bleeding the brakes.
