CAR JERKING AROUND 30,000 MILES
check the fluid for the color and smell.if the color is dark or the smell is burnt, your tranny have internal problems, also early hyundais had a lot of problems with the transmisions, internal failure as well as the valve bodies goin bad,if the service was done and you still have the problem its likely that your transmision needs a better diagnostic,if you are under warranty then there should be no problem.
Hyundai eleantra slx Has ticking noice coming
That is exactly correct - if it doesn't STAY broken, it's very difficult to find the 'cause' of the problem. I believe you when you say you hear a ticking noise, but unless I actually hear it myself, I wouldn't know where to look. With regard to the engine stalling, wiring is usually the culprit (connectors, pins, gounds, etc.).
I bought a used 2007 Hyundai Elantra recently (my
Most cars when you turn the ignition key on(not all the way to start) lights come on to tell you the bulbs are working and not burnt out. After you start the engine the warning lights go out or if the don't there is a problem with that device.Good Luck.
Noisy brakes due to rust
Yes it is a regular problem because the squealing is caused by a scraper that tells you when your brake pads are worn and it is time for a brake job. (They must not want to do a brake job under their warranty) You'll have to push them harder for some satisfaction. Does this help you?
Steering wheel lock
Without actually inspecting it myself, no. I cannot explain why the service department at the dealership didn't (couldn't) give you an explanation. Guess work is not something I like to do, however, since they told you the entire column needs replacing, my BEST guess is that the column was defective from the factory/ manufacturer... simply got past the quality control folks.
2007 Hyundai Elantra has to be jump started. Battery is fine
from your comment, theres 3 things that can cause this, loose batt.post connection, weak batt.or something in elect. circuit that stays on after car is off and drains batt.,like underhood light, dome or truck light, what u can do is when u park car unhook batt. cable, make sure batt. is well charged, hook it up next day if car starts, its something that drains batt.in car! if it doesnt start, batt. needs replacing.i ruled out starter, dealer should have checked it to see if it was pulling too much amps, and that its easy to jump.
I am having having trouble in WA finding if i can fit a Haymanreese hitch to my 2007 Elantra
I checked the Reese site, and there is one available #77167 Insta-Hitch 1 which is a class 1 rating, drawbar #3594. Keep in mind that your Elantra is limited to towing 750 lbs WITHOUT trailer brakes, and up to 1500 lbs WITH trailer brakes. The installation of the hitch claims to be 'no drilling' but the exhaust system must be lowered for installation (then returned to position), and some 'trimming' of the cars fascia must be done. Take into consideration the terrain you intend to drive through. If there will be a lot of hills, you will struggle to accelerate, and braking w/out trailer brakes on long hills will overheat and reduce your stopping ability. Remember to figure in weight of passengers, luggage, and anything you put in or on the trailer, car roof rack etc. Good luck, and safe travel to you. Curt
Replacing fuel filter
The fuel filter is in the tank on these models. You should be able to get to it through an access panel underneath the back seat.
