Hi Ethel,

It sounds like there may be several unrelated problems. The one of most concern to me is the steering wheel control panel getting 'too hot to touch'.

Air bags are sensitive to heat. I worry about the accidental deployment which may occur when they are exposed to excess heat.

This is something that really needs to be addressed by a trained technicial and soon.

If only one door does not make light go on, then door switch.
If no door works, then switch at light bad. The light switch has 3 positions: off, on, and on when door open.

okay, you need to go to parts store and buy the repair manual for your make and model Denali it will tell you where your plugs are, how tight the plugs need to be after replacing and how to set the timing if necessary. P.S. Remove the plugs one at a time.

If windows still work from other door switches, then fuse is good, if not check fuse, if they do replace master window switch, shorted out with the water.

this sounds like the blower resistor is bad, the resistor is located near blower motor going into heaterbox, just remove the connector and then the 2 screws that hold it to box and then slide it out and install new one,

Should be no play. look for bad water pump or fan clutch

Check the fuses first, possible the sending unit on the fuel tank is bad.

the cable will split into a y in front of the rear end you will see the nut adjustment but I would go through the hole break system just to double check there is no other problems

check for leak at the suspension air bag

There is a fuse box under the back seat on the left hand side. The fuses you need to ck are fuse#4 tbc3 fuse and fuse# 40 tbc 4 fuse. The dome lights operate through the bcm.

Best bet is to contact Prodogy. There should be a 1-800 number in the paperwork. They can walk you through it.

There are many possible reasons while the car will shut down at cold , or when idling or slow.

A good thing to do would be going to the nearest Autozone and doing an error code scanning on the engine. This is free of charge, and will tell you if there is any error codes stored in the car computer.


I will try to summarize possible causes for your problem. I will list only common faults that can cause the car shutting down when you press the pedal after idling.


Air flow problems:
This commonly affect the engine when this is cold.
Check air filter, air intake, MAF (mass airflow) and IAT (intake air temperature). This problems are more noticeable when the engine is cold.

Vacuum problems:
The vacuum system uses recirculated gases in your engine. A vacuum leak or a bad EGR valve can give you troubles, particularly when idling. Vacuum system is tested using an hand tool gauge.


Injection and fuel system:
A malfunctioning fuel pump, a clogged fuel line, or an injector problem may be causing the fault. Pump and lines are tested using the same hand gauge used on vacuum system

Distribution and spark plugs:
If this is the problem, then the engine is shutting down because of misfire. You will get engine warning light on, and the misfire will be reported after doing an error code scanning. When you have distributions problems you can also easily feel that the engine is not running as it should.


Transmission problems.
An automatic transmission malfunction can cause the engine to shut down when you push the pedal. When this is the problem you realize that the cause is the transmission, and that the wrong gear is on.


Other electronic troubles (ECU , wiring, etc)


The best thing to do is trying to understand in what of the condition above you may be, eventually stop at the nearest Autozone and ask a free OBDII scan, or come back to us with a more detailed description of your problem symptoms. OBDII scan can also be done using an hand tester.

The fuel level sensor is bad and will need to be replaced. The tank will have to come down to replace the sender.

This is a safety feature that the vehicle brings. You need to reset the E.C.U on dealership or it will keep doing it to you. It was probably caused by one single time that you did not closed the fuel cap correctly. Good luck

the water pump would make a constant sound...so it doesnt soung like it would be a water pump issue.

groung might of broke check battery cable to see if they are clean or wire might of broke

If you have air shocks, they could be leaking. Check that air compressor is being activated. You can test the power to the pump if needed with a voltmeter.

Many people do switch to traditional shocks which seem to last longer and are much less of a hastle.

You can go to autozone.com and register for free online repair manual if you wish to change the shocks yourself.

pull them out one at a time check then put it back in till u find on that is bad or dont look like the rest of them

you probly have a bad ground the wire will get bad by the sending unit usualy that would be located on top of the gas tank
