Dear An,
The vents that direct the air to certain areas of the cars or trucks are plastic, and over time, will warp, or stick, or break.
This applies to all cars & trucks.
A good rule of thumb is, 10 years of working correctly.
If you choose to fix this, or have it fixed, start with the under dash unit, in a ********* plastic box.
Open that up and see if everything is working properly.
Then go to the tubes or pipes that send the heat or cool to the rear.
This may requires taking the seats and the carpets out to access those tubes or pipes.
Understand a dealer may charge you many hundreds of dollars, or even a few thousand to do this, because it is "labor intensive".
God bless your efforts.
The battery light is for the charging system when it comes on when the engine is running it means that the altenator and or the wiring to the regulator rectifier is faulty
Until you get them fault found and repaired or replaced the light will still come on or stay on
Check the drive belt to the altenator for correct tension
check the ground wire first before replacing...
another youtuber says to remove the exhaust manifold to have easier access to the starter
"Remove the front exhaust manifold and remove the starter from the top.Pull the front exhast manifold and dipstick remove the 3 bolts with a 15mm socket or wrench pull the starter from the top"
You should first take it & have someone hook it up to a scanner & if it`s not the solenoid which is a common problem, then it`s something mechanical. Let me know.
Ken
why not post symptoms? first.? put us on the same page?
why do you assume its a sensor, much less grounding out.
try scanning the pcm. using any scan tool, (modern, not 1995 tools)
1: check fuse, test them/
2: check the engine (compression)
3: scan it. see what you have. we use the Innova #3160, to see all chyl. codes (dtc's)
Start with making sure the tires have correct air pressure in each tire, then go from there. The alarm is a warning there is an issue with your tires. Low air can set it off or an imbalance. If the treads are worn due to alot of mileage, check those. Tire blowouts are no fun and can cause a serious accident or damage to your vehicle like bent rims. Tires are sometimes 'weighted' when rotated. There may be uneven wear if they do not get rotated per tire manufacturer's recommendation.
