How to change the headlight bulb 2008 yukon

Open the hood, above each headlight is 2 rods, unlatch the rods and lift striaght up, the headlight will now lift out and you can replace the bulb, It turns about 1/3 of a turn left to unlatch the bulb. After the bulb is replaced, set headlight back in place and push the rods back down, you may need to wiggle the light housing to align the holes so the rods seat all the way down.

Remove battery from 2005 Yukon

Automotive batteries are required to be bolted down to help prevent tip over into engine belts and pulleys. There is usually a bolt going through a rubber block that is located in the front of the battery. this has to be removed in order to remove the battery. Good luck.

Need to find 12v "off with ignition off"

Does your cigar lighter stay live whe the ignition is off ?

Buy a cheap 12v tester with a pointed tip put the crocodile clip on a bare piece of the bodywork and test look at the wires coming away from the ignition switch, there will be a heavy cable in Red or Brown which is the supply from the battery
One of the other cables will carry the ingnition supply while the engine is running as there will only be around 10 wires it is no big deal to test that out as you just stick the point through the insualtion which closes up when you remove the probe

Once you have found the Ignition wire use a Scotchlock to break into the circuit to give you your live supply and put the ground lead to the earth post which will be near the steering column.

I am assuming that your radar scanner has an in-line fuse built into the wiring they supply if not invest in one

How can i find my car from my home computer using onstar

I believe you will have to call onstar and request the location information. They will be able to tell you the address or general location of the vehicle.
I am unaware of any other means to track the vehicle unless you report it stolen.
Good luck.

Remove battery from 99 yukon

your gonna need either a 5/16 or 8mm wrench.  loosen the negative battery cable (black cable) off first and move it to the side where it wont touch the battery or anything metal.  then loosen and take off the positive (red) cable off and then just loosen the battery hold down bolt and the battery should left out. just like a top post battery make sure you dont touch anything metal with the wrench while loosing the bolts.

How do you change the headlamp bulbs on a 2008 yukon?

they are replaced from inside the engine compartment.... look inside at the back of where the headlights are. you may have to remove the battery to change the one on that side. if it has dual batteries ... you will probably have to remove them both.

2002 GMC Yukon MPH AND ODOMETER NOT WORKING

Remove the speed sensor and look in the hole, are there teeth in there and do they move with the vehicle, this really sounds like a speed sensor problem so if all appears good including checking the wires with a continuity tester get a new sensor.

2003 GMC yukon SLE Driver side WIndow switches how do i replace them?

How do you know they need to be replaced ? The switches incorporate a electronic module . Driver door module . Power Window System Components The power window system consists of the following components: • Driver Door Module (DDM) • Passenger Door Module (PDM) • Body Control Module (BCM) • RR power window switch • Window up and window down relays in each of the rear passenger window switches • Window lockout switch • Reversible power window motors in each of the doors (circuit breaker protected) • LT DOOR CB 25A (System power for left windows) • RT DOOR CB 25A (System power for right windows) Power Window System Controls The power window system will operate anytime the Retained Accessory Power (RAP) system is active or when the ignition switch is in the ACCY or ON position. The DDM contains four power window switches which are integral components. Closing any of the normally open, rocker type switches provides the DDM with a request for power window operation. The switches for the two front windows have three positions UP, Down and Express Down, while the switches for the rear windows have only two positions, UP and Down. Each of these switches and their positions is a direct input into the DDM. Upon receiving a request for power window operation, the DDM, transmits a Class 2 message indicating the switch and it's changed position. The PDM contains a single power window switch that is an integral component. Closing of this normally open, rocker switch provides the PDM with a request for the front passenger power window operation. The switch for the front passenger window has two positions Up and Down. Each of these switch positions is a direct input to the PDM. The two rear passenger doors have there own switches. Each of the switches contain a power window up and down relay. A switch activation alone can control the up and down functions of the rear windows. However the BCM, upon receiving a Class 2 message from the DDM, can control the set of relays which will activate the rear window motors. The door locks operate the same way . Door Lock System Components The power door lock system consists of the following components: • The driver door module (DDM) • The passenger door module (PDM) • The body control module (BCM) • The driver information center (DIC) • The rear door lock switch • The door lock relay • The door unlock relay • The liftgate lock relay--utility vehicles with liftgate only • The reversible door lock actuators in each of the doors and liftgate • LOCKS 20A fuse (rear lock/unlock relay supply voltage) • ECC 10A fuse (liftgate lock relay supply voltage) What's not working ? Windows , power locks ? Hooking up a professional type scan tool ,not a code reader . Code reader can not read codes in the BCM or door modules . Do you know what a DTC is ? diagnostic trouble code >All these can set for door electronic problems . DTC B1023 DTC B1544, B1600, or B1605 DTC B1580, B1590, B1610, or B1620 DTC B1640 or B1645 DTC B1722 DTC B3808 DTC B3809 DTC B3819 DTC B3820 DTC B3821 DTC B3822 DTC B3823 DTC B3824
