Engine doesn't seem to be
Even though the transmission is shifting like it normally does, the torque converter may not be locking like it should be. That would give the feeling of the engine being normal but the acceleration not being 'solid'. If the engine seems to be running normally, the problem is likely the torque converter.
How do you remove the
Hi,
Thank
you for contacting fixya.com.
If
you have the leather seats, there are clips that prevent them from being
extracted easily. On front seats some are released by squeezing the seat back
cushion around the base of the head rest posts or when you flip the seat
forward the clip is released. Otherwise, remove the carpeted hard back, usually
held in with pop clips, to access the head rest post clips. Slide the clips off
and remove the head rests.
Also
check if there is a little hole in each plastic base of the metal bars. You
need a very small screwdriver, allen key or paperclip to insert into the holes
while pulling up on the headrest and it will come off.

I can give you more info but I would need the year, make, model, and engine size of your vehicle. I would also need to know whether you have manual or automatic HVAC.
The more info you post the easier it is for us to help. I’m happy to assist further over the phone at

The load rating on the tire is per tire.33 psi will be fine, but for some added fuel savings I would air them up to the 44 psi in the rear.Don't for get to let them down when you remove your load or you will get center tire ware.

you need to check the battery in the key fob remote . If the battery are good . the remote will need to be tested to make sure it is capable of transmitting (only place i know that can test them is the dealer ship but you could call your local parts store to see if they can test). If the the remote test good then it will have to be reprogramed or relearn to the truck .I belive if it needs to be relearned or programed you will need to have that done at a shop with a proper scan tool .
Even though I have put
check for loose connections on seatbelt stem and under the seat - wires on floor but also under the seat itself. That sensor detects people sitting on seat.
2005 gmc canyon 2800 vortec
Is the check engine light coming on the dash.If yes, then did you got the car scanned. If not? then get the car scanned. At autozone service center its absolutely free to get car scanned.Once the car is scanned,so it will give the codes , and as per error codes the faulty part can be easily replaced. But if the check engine light is not coming on then, the gmc canyon stalls at idle, in this case the IAC valve has to be checked. The iac valve located on the throttle body has to be cleaned and checked. If still the same problem then IAC valve has to be replaced.
---------------
Throttle body cleaner and a tooth brush. make sure you clean around the valve area real well.
Remove the intake, and 4 bolts hold the TB( throttle body) on.
You need to remove the whole thing. Remove the intake, including the vortec bo. Once that is gone you will see 4 bolts holding the TB in. Remove those. Very carefully remove the plus from the TB. You will then have the whole thing removed. Very carefully clean the whole thing with throttle body Cleaner, rags, and a toothbrush. make it look like its polished and then reassemble. You can get throttle body cleaner at local auto part store.----------
This should help.Keep updated.Thanks.Helpmech.

Hi, have you checked the alternator? Voltage should be at least 14 volts at battery with engine running. If not, or you don't have a voltmeter, remove the alternator and take to parts store for testing.
Thanks for using FixYa.
My front disc breaks are
the only thing that I can think of doing is to open up the zerk fitting ( bleeder ) and trying to force the inner pad inward ( which will compress the piston and release the pressure ). I hate to suggest a big flat blade screw driver to use as a lever, but there is not much room in there to do the compression. try and be careful not to mark/nick up the disk as this will/can cause pre-mature pad wear. if both sides are locked up -- just repeat the same step on both sides. after things get freed up it will be important to figure out why so much pressure is building up in the brake lines,, you might try and flush brand new fluid all the way through the lines and see if that fixes the problem.
