Why speakers and heat and ac don't work on 2007 silverado

You probably have a loose wire at a connection point. If no loose wire, then the switch that controls the heat or A/C is defective intermittently.

I have a 2007 chevy

This won't be a complete solution, but here's a place to start. Have the engine running, truck in park. Open the hood and stand to the side of the truck. Have someone help by sitting in the truck turning the AC on and off over and over. Your AC pump runs off your engine belt and has a clutch on it so that when you aren't using the AC, the pump doesn't turn. You should hear the AC Clutch engaging and disengaging as your helper cycles the system on and off. If you don't hear this, it's probably an electrical problem and the clutch isn't hearing the signal to engage. If you hear the clutch clicking on and off (usually a pretty discernible click) and if indeed the system is charged well with refrigerant, then I would suspect the clutch may be worn to the point that it won't engage. Either of these is a fairly expensive fix, and should probably be done by a mechanic. My truck has to be drained of refrigerant before the clutch can be changed, and if this is the case for you then that refrigerant should be captured and recycled rather than let go into the atmosphere. Also, if work needs to go this deep, filters should be cleaned and lubrication replaced as well... a mechanic will do a great job here. If it's electrical then the solution shouldn't be as involved, but nobody likes electrical work so the price is usually high anyway. :) Good luck!

My 2007 silverado was fine when i parked it last

The steering wheel will not "lock" until you turn it about 45 degrees from center...this is normal. If your security light is flashing, there is a problem with your security system that is keeping you from starting the engine. Try this: Set the parking brake. Turn the ignition to the "RUN" position and wait about 10 minutes for the security light to stop flashing. When the light stops flashing, crank the engine without turning the key to the off position. If it starts, take the vehicle to get the security system checked. If it doesn't start, tow it. You probably need a new PassKey sensor.

Gas tank will not fill

Does the nozzle at the gas station click out every couple of seconds? There is a relief on the top of the tank that may be clogged, Also if this truck is a utility body there are some filler neck and tube routing that will leave a kink in the system causing the nozzles auto shut off to engage, If you are simply refering to the gauge, contact your gm dealer as there have been many recalls on their gauge clusters for erratic operation.

How do I drain the coolant from my 2007 Silverado

There should be a shut off valve on back of radiator on lower drivers side of the radiator. Get a drain pan and put it below shut off valve and turn shut off valve so coolant pours out . when empty turn shut off valve back and refill with required coolant.

Check engine light came on and DIC says engin

Hello and welcome, this is usually a problem with the electronic throttle system. you will need to have the system scanned for trouble codes to have some idea what the problem is. I would suggest seeing your dealer, this is normally covered under the 100,000 mile powertrain warranty

Dash light "engine coolant

I was know on 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500,. that had a problem with my panel always showing "Engine Hot A/C Turned Off" and the fan will constintly too. Will I had my nephew...
1. Flushed out the antifreeze.
2. Change thermistac
3. Change out the sensor. (total cost of this was like under $40).
4 RULE when you are getting your oil change make sure to tell them to use the correct antifreeze.

That was the problem. When you don't use the correct type it will trick the thermosat and that is when the problem will start again.

Hope this helps; good luck.

How do i clear the change engine oil soon message.

The "Change Oil" message displayed on your Chevrolet Silverado's gauge cluster is part of the Oil Life Monitoring System, standard on many GM (General Motors) vehicles. The message appears when it's time for an oil-change; the interval is based on your driving habits (for example, it may appear more frequently if you engage in a lot of stop-and-go traffic). Once you change your Chevy's oil, the message will not disappear; the system must be reset. The process is a bit different between Chevy Silverado models.
jQuery('.intro .thumbnail').each(function(i,e){ jQuery(e).find('img').one('error',function(){ jQuery(e).remove(); }); }); Difficulty: Moderately Easy Instructions
    2007 to 2010 Chevrolet Silverado
  1. Step 1 Insert your key and turn the ignition to position "C" (Run/On) without starting the engine.
  2. Step 2 Press the second button from the top on your information center (next to the steering column, car symbol) until "Oil Life" displays on your odometer cluster.
  3. Step 3 Press and hold the "Reset" button on your information center (check mark symbol) until the "Oil Life" display changes to 100 percent.
  4. Step 4 Turn your ignition to position "A" (Lock/Off).
  5. 2002 to 2006 Chevrolet Silverado
  6. Step 1 Insert your key into the ignition, and turn it to position "A" (Run/On) without cranking the engine.
  7. Step 2 Depress the gas pedal three times within five seconds. The "Change Oil" message will begin to flash.
  8. Step 3 Turn the ignition to position "A" (Lock/Off) once the light stops flashing (about 10 seconds).

2007 chevy silverado steering shudder over bumps

Are the wheel lug nuts tight? Jack up the front end and wiggle each wheel to check for loose wheel bearings. If the truck has a lot of miles, the upper and especially the lower ball joints may be worn enough to cause problems. With the wheels back on the ground, have someone rock the steering wheel back and forth slowly while you watch each tie rod end for looseness. If the left wheel moves before the right one does, there is play somewhere in the linkage between the wheels.
