The first thing you will need to do is get all of your paper work together from dealer repairs and then get a hold of the rep. from Volve of North America. Give him the necessary information and get them involved to play liason between you and the dealer service department to get this rectified. That is way too excessive and needs to be addressed by the manufacturer. Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
2002 C70 Volvo high beam
There is no way to adjust the beam of light a headlight projects. The bulb filament is designed to project either low beam or high beam. More than likely the filament is burning out. If these are new bulbs, then the glass was probably touched and this causes the bulb to become damaged. If these are new bulbs, you should check to see that the high beams are indeed high beams and low beams were not accidentally installed in their place. If you require additional help on this matter, do not hesitate to ask.
Bought a 2004 C70 today,
start simple. Previous owners may have spilled something in the switches on the side of the seat. Use some compressed air to blow out anything stuck in the switch. Go to gas station and use tire inflator if you dont have a compressor. Put some rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and try to clean as much as you can on and behind the switch as good as you can. This should free up the switch and stop the "ghost".
Sometimes it will start fine
Hi there. Sorry to hear about your car issues. There are a few things that could be causing this. A bad ignition coil, bad distributo and a bad gas cap to name a few. The first thing i think you should try is changing your gas cap since it is the cheapest thing. I know it sounds like a gas cap would have nopthing to do with your problem but it is very common. A good friend of mine has the same problem with his Acura. What happens is if a gas cap gets too old it may not properly vent air to the inside of the tank. So as your fuel pump sucks the gas out it needs air to fill in the void. If the cap wont vent the pump will siphon to the point to wheree the negative pressure in the tank causes the pump to not operate properly. A cap should only cost $5-$10. Your car should also be giving you aq check engine light. If it will run long enough to get to a large auto parts retailer they can read the trouble codes. Every store that i know of that does this charges nothing for the service.
Good luck and let me know if you have anymore questions or symptoms.

Black smoke from exhaust of car comes out while you are driving indicates that the car air fuel/ratio is too rich, when a car air/fuel ratio is too rich, more gas is being burned from a cars engine combustion chambers.
The engine is consuming too much gas, the problem relates to fuel injection. The fuel is running too rich or too lean.Get the o2 sensors checked, get the fuel filter checked, get the IAC( idle air control valve) checked. Also get the throttle body checked. The IAC valve located on throttle body.Clean both IAC and throttle body with a crab or throttle cleaner.IT can be bought from local auto part store. The O2 sensors located before and after catalytic converter.Replace both, the pre and pro O2 sensors before and after catalytic converter. Also see if catalytic converter is clogged and worn out, then it has to be replaced. Also check the fuel injectors, if they are cracked and leaking, this results in black smoke.
---------------
This are the possibilities, that can cause black smoke and no power to engine.First get the throttle body , IAC valve and O2 sensors cleaned, then see, if the problem still occurs, then go for catalytic converter cleaning and injector checking. If all checked or replaced, but still the same problem, then the spark plugs and coil pack are to be checked. But its rare that spark plugs and coil pack causing black smoke or no power to engine,---------------
This should help.Thanks.Keep updated.Helpmech.

You are most probably going to have to have the seatbelt replaced and the light turned off by a service garage with the proper computer interogator/programmer. Some shops will have a go at repairing the belt (it's often just dirt or grime in the mechanism) but most prefer to replace due to liability concerns. Sorry to have no good news.
How do i turn engine
1
Place the key in the ignition and move the key to Position I.
2
While keeping the key at Position 1, press and hold the reset button for the trip odometer. You will find that button located where the speedometer is.
3
While still holding the button for the trip odometer, move the key to Position II.
4
At this point, wait until the service light is flashing, it should take about 5 seconds for this to occur. When it hits its 3rd or 4th flash, move the key back to Position I.
5
Release the button for the trip odometer. Next, start the car and you will notice the service light should be reset. If not, try it again. It may take more than one time to get this light reset. Good Luck!
The cruise control has been
i am not knowing the year of the vehicle but lots of cars from the 80 s through the 90 s had the cruise working partly on vacume ..i have found many times it to be the hose that ran to the switch mounted on the brake pedal ...when the brake got hit it shut off the cruiseby sensing the loss of vacume..if the hose has a hole it will be keeping it off as if you were holding down on the breaks
