It is hard to say without checking your headlamp electrical circuits, but it sounds like you may have possibly installed the wrong bulb or installed it incorrectly and possibly blew a fuse.

headlight tet-- turn lights on. if they dim when you crank, the battery is depleted. If they go out, you have a bad connection. ck batt post. remove ,cleam, reinstall anugly
