no car with A/T starts if it cant CRANK. my stick car , push starts and gravity hill starts easy, too. but not yours. are head lamps dead, anything else dead, key on? step 2 is (after key turn) is jumper cable starts. ever do that, no, then call AAATOW> or try to crank in NEtural as the operators guide tells how. ok fuses good, we test them.... no cranks. 101 (i use a voltmeter and dont guess)

1. battery just discharged or bad.
2. battery lugs green with corrosion.
3. battery cables all 4 ends loose, 1 or more.
4. starter bad, if hotwire test fails now.
5. starter ok hot wired, key line is dead.
6. key line dead , PRNDL switch bad. or wire to it, (aka TRS )
7. bad wires end to end, all this section,. key switch last.

if you read your cars starter schematic you can see all this. its very simple system, unlike EFI. got a meter?

The cooling fans are computer controlled, the engine temperature at which they are turned on is about 225-230F, the signal comes from the ECT sensor. The fans are controlled through a relay in the underhood fuse and relay power distribution box, the location of the fan relay is shown on a sticker on the bottom of the lid over the power distribution box. The fan system is tested by the computer when you run a fault code test with a code reader or a scanner. Do this and see if a fault code comes up. DO NOT OVERHEAT THIS ENGINE OR YOU WILL DO SERIOUS DAMAGE TO THE CYLINDER HEAD GASKETS RESULTING IN A HUGELY BIG REPAIR BILL. Get this repaired ASAP.

This 30-minute learn procedure should be used when all vehicle keys are desired to be replaced or reprogrammed. This procedure will erase all previously learned vehicle keys from the TDM. Once the 30-minute learn procedure has been completed, any remaining vehicle keys may be programmed using the Adding Keys procedure to ensure their continued functionality.

1. With an unlearned master vehicle key, turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
2. Observe the security indicator, after approximately 10 minutes the telltale will turn off.
3. Turn OFF the ignition, and wait 5 seconds.
4. Repeat steps 1-3 two more times for a total of 3 cycles or 30 minutes.
Important: The TDM learns the key transponder information upon the ignition switch transition from OFF to ON. You must turn the ignition OFF before attempting to start the vehicle.
5. With a master vehicle key, start the vehicle. The vehicle has now learned the key transponder information.
6. If additional keys are required to be learned, refer to Adding Keys.
7. With a scan tool, clear any DTCs.

Weak signal, poor antenna connection, bad ground.

Not sure on your Equinox, but see if your has an ignition actuator pin. They were in the older ignitions, they would break. Fairly easy to replace.

Check pedal clearance at push rod ,could be faulty master cylinder.

Anti theft won't make the key stick. Does it turn all the way off? If not, there is a solenoid at the shifter that is bad or no power to it. Or your battery could be run down..

Your key is stuck because your battery is dead, try hooking up a battery charger to it, remember to pay attention to the proper battery terminals so you do not damage your battery or your electrical system. The key is likely stuck due to a solenoid that is designed to keep you from removing the key if the vehicle is not in park, when the battery is dead the car does not know it is in park and therefore locks the ignition tumbler from returning all the way off. check for sound balance on your radio maybe you or someone have mute that particular speaker if well balanced, then you have a dead speaker or broken wires.

Do the park lamps work ? license plate lights get power from same fuse ! Check ground wire ! use a volt meter an do voltage drop test ! Voltage Drop Testing The fuse for the license plate lights is in the under hood fuse box -engine compartment ! fuse #12 RT PRK LAMP 10Amp .
