The answer is No to both questions. The security system and immobilizer is there to stop exactly what you are trying to do, start the car without the correct credentials. You can't reprogram computers (ECM and BCM) and the security modules and sensors. You have to fix the issue not find away around it. Hello. Either your B.M.W. doesn't have a return fuel line or, if it does, that line is blocked/restricted. The latter isn't likely because the engine might 'flood' with gas, making it hard to start/run. Keep me informed; if you want to.

Question edited for clarity. Take it back to the installer at 2:00pm and he can use his pro grade scan tool computer to record what happens. there is no such thing ever, CKP it is hall sensor or mag sensor yes the HALL uses 5vdc from the same named pin Of the PCM but the PCM has regulator for that. (not a fuse ever 5V) the PCM has 12V fuses sure. as do every computer in the car. BCM and all. yes all cars and all electronics, or electrics, all have fuse. of one form or another, even like door windows have CB circuit breakers. cranks but will not start , has 50 causes./ SORRY ! a tech knows that and does check ALL FUSEs not just one ever. what if a fuse blew and the CAN_bus network when dead.? yes we check them all , for sure year 2000 up. for SURE> no start (CRANKS FAST)_ MACRO ANSWER.

(not me) if engine is good, tested (compression) we test spark next on all cylinders, if all are dead, sure CMP or cam belt. or CMP dead, (or) if spark is bad on JUST one cylinder a new COP coil.? boots bad? if spark is good.we try test fuel (spray can, to air cleaner port filter out) I spray 3 seconds, crank it and runs 3 seconds ,repeat 3 times; if engine sounds great smile and say fueling bad. check fuel pressure using gauge(shop) for spec pressure. check voltage 12vd to pump cranking. bingo do not trust key on pump tests, CRANK IT. I would suggest using a scope to watch the camshaft and crankshaft sensors while the fault is happening to see if either is cutting out. THe red/white wire should have a constant 12 volts, the brown wire should have a constant ground. Does it do it when it is cold? I had a Pt Cruiser in a shop with a similar problem once and found when i heated the ECM up with a heat gun, the car would die and not restart. When i sprayed it with freeze spray, the car would start and run fine- it was a bad ECM. But most of these things should set a code. You really need to pull up live data on a scan tool- look for regularities on the O2 sensors and Mass airflow sensors.

Well, that is a pretty broad question. In my experience, the highest failure item on that car as far as the cooling system goes is the surge tank.

Clean Throttle Body and MAF. If that doesn't work, you need an auto electrician with a pro grade scan tool computer.

On a 2001, and because it is only on one side of the vehicle, and because it is the drivers side only, my guess is that the wire that goes from the driver's door to the door frame is damaged. The best course of action would be to take it to an auto electrician for diagnosis with their pro grade scan tool computer. USA CAR,NOT tOLD yours.nor "e"code, series3 code. e21 ,1975? 2.0L 320i. the "i' only means fuel injected 320d is diesel what matters more 'e" code, e21 up. No year told, NO ENGINE told, nOR GAS OR DIESEL.?????? i= gas. first we test fuel last , not pumps first (sorry but i cover that) the engine must be good, no bad engine burns fuel and run. next is (gas engine) spark must be good or if diesel glow plugs.working. then comes fuel checks last. (all this is basic basics 101 stuff) the PCm cuts fuel for many good reasons. but we test fuel pressure cranking, on any dead engine using a tool called fuel gauge ( PSI or in Europe BAR/kPA) CRANKING ONLY IF THE FUEL PUMP RELAY IS DEAD, MOST TIMES THAT MEANS THE PCM IS CUTTING FUEL ON PURPOSE. TOP CASE PCM SEES SPARK DEAD AND MUST BY LAW CUT FUEL FAST. if car has bad TPS sensor and it sends 5vdc to the PCM for throttle angle (100^%) or WOT false signal the PCM cuts fuel or the PCM sees IMMO not happy it cuts fuel. or spark and on some cars even cuts cranking, on my car it cuts fuel after 3 second run if IMMO KEY FAILS. other simple tests, is Test fuel.spray if engine good and spark good, test fuel works. see? but no engine told and spark plugs all tested for good spark.. on on all uSA cars here, 1996 up any OBD2 scantool works so we scan it first. see why the PCM cut fuel??? as it can for many reasons, on gasoline engine top causes are P03xx DTC errors for sure CMP or CKP sensors failing it cuts fuel 1or2 ways.
