These are all good advice as I would start with a vacuum issue that is not switching the passenger side to cool or the other being the blend actuator is history and not shutting down the heat side and open the A/C side of things. Either way this could be very annoying to deal with as it would drive me to drink. Only other suggestion would be does your vehicle have different control switches for driver and passenger? If so this could also be an issue that the switch itself is gone bad or a relay to that particular control has gone out. Sounds like your cable maybe broke or come off at the release mechanism under the seat. Sometimes you can replace the parts, other times its the whole seat. Id check to see if everything is connected and its not one that just came off. Lube up the mechanisms real good if everythings connected as advertised as with all the junk that gets under the seats sometimes they get gummed up.
