Why does the 4wd button blink on a 2004 tundra?
Four wheel drive actuator may me at fault, try park the truck on a slick surface like wet grass, set it in neutral and activate 4hi and 4lo back to 2wd a few times, if doesn't help try tapping on motor actuator located on transfer case while someone activates selector, park surface must be as level as possible, a good tip is to activate your four wheel drive once every few months to avoid it freezing up.If nothing helps then it needs to be diagnos by a tech. good luck
Why does 4wd button blinks but front driveline moves. is the 4wd engagedon a 2004 tundra?
Probably because you have engaged the 4x4 on and have forgotten to switch it off. I have a Pathfinder and it does exactly the same. However, my Pathfinder light only flashed when in lower gear combination and the strange thing is you cannot really go faster, as the gear train is in low revolution and the engine in high revolution. So, to fix this unexpected problems that occurs (sometimes) when you've engages 4x4 drive while the front wheels are in a turned position - either left or right, is to put it in reverse after you've switched the 4x4 system off, straighten the front wheels and let it reverse a couple of metres. You should see the light disappearing, and you're now in two wheel drive. Put the selector in Drive and off you go. If the problem is not what I think it is, then it's best you send it to a dealership where you purchased the vehicle. Normally they're under a three year warranty, so you should get a free inspection.
2004 tundra fog lights do not turn on.
Try to wire them straight to 12v to rule out anything with the lights themselves. You've tested with a meter to the leads at the light with them switched on?
How to change valve springs on a 08 tundra 5.7 liter engine
With the cylinder head removed and clamped down you will need to use a specialist valve spring compression tool. This allows you to remove the valve stem collets holding the spring cap in place. A small extendible magnetic pen is very useful for this.
***CAUTION*** Valve springs are VERY strong and if they slip they can do a SERIOUS amount of damage.
