Ignition timing 95 hilux
To your direct question - I am sorry, I have no information on the Hilux. However if it is like nearly all cars with ECM, it is completely controlled by the engine computer, and apart from setting the up camshaft(s) in correct alignment with the crankshaft via the timing belt or chain, you cannot make any adjustment to it.
I have a Toyota Hilux 2KD but having a problem with the cluster on fuel gauge and temperature gauge?
If you are having a problem with the fuel gauge and temperature gauge on your Toyota Hilux 2KD, there could be several possible causes. Some potential reasons for this issue include:
- A faulty or damaged cluster: The cluster is the instrument panel on your vehicle that houses the gauges and displays important information such as the fuel level and engine temperature. If the cluster is faulty or damaged, it may not be able to accurately display the readings from the gauges.
- A faulty or damaged fuel level sensor: The fuel level sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of fuel in the tank and sending that information to the cluster. If the sensor is faulty or damaged, it may not be able to accurately measure the fuel level and the gauge may not display the correct reading.
- A faulty or damaged temperature sensor: The temperature sensor is responsible for measuring the engine temperature and sending that information to the cluster. If the sensor is faulty or damaged, it may not be able to accurately measure the temperature and the gauge may not display the correct reading.
In order to diagnose and fix the problem, it is recommended to have the vehicle assessed by a qualified mechanic. They will be able to diagnose the specific cause of the issue and recommend the appropriate repair. It is important to address any issues with the gauges on your vehicle promptly, as they can affect the safety and performance of your vehicle.
How do I replace camshafts on Toyota Hilux 3.0 d4d?
The Toyota Hilux D4D 3.0 1KDFTV is an interference engine, so if the timing is wrong then the pistons will critically damage the valves. Removing the camshafts is easy, you just need to remove the set of bearing cap bolts that fasten them, in a predetermined order. When reinstalling the camshafts you just need to ensure the peripheral stamp marks on each of the camshaft sprockets align with each other. ie Align the indented dot with its adjacent indented dot or align the highlighted indented dot with its adjacent highlighted indented dot. The bearing cap bolts will need to be fastened with a torque wrench. Then connect the timing gear pulley onto the right camshaft using a key woodruff slotted into the right camshaft groove. Always double check the timing - that the peripheral stamp marks align. Don't under tension bolts, don't over tighten bolts either.
