Peter what does the starter motor do? this is first. cranks fast and engine does not start? or starter is dead. ,silent, or clicks or chatters only or? keep in mind we can not hear your starter, at all and matters first. if the starter fails. at any time, shift to Neutral, is this A/t box or M/t stick shift box tranny? on A/t box the PRNDL switch must allow cranking in Park and Neutral if a M/T box (manual) the clutch switch on the pedal must work or starter will be dead. or always cranks fast but will not start and run the engine.?

if the job was done properly , re-torquing the head bolts is not necessary what is very necessary however is to clean out the stud holes and threads before refitting the head and applying thread lubricant to the stud threads the problem is when there is oil or water left in the holes before fitting that muck creates a false torque reading the setting is reached but the head is still loose so re-torquing the studs will sill cause that hydraulic lock situation and the head will still be loose also all head studs are not always the same length so a stud will bottom out at tension but again the head will be loose and lastly, head gaskets have a sealant applied that glues the head to the block on operating temperature and that will now be destroyed by the oil and water all of this is explained in detail in the workshop mmanual

Made a short circuit here radio, cig lighter ,air Con ,clock, windows, indicators are not working but hazards are working it is a toyota hilux

Well if the pump works then follow the pump fuel lines to the engine,you will find the fuel filter then replace it and will also see petrol if any in it ,if not pump isent working ,if dirty replace it and blow air back from carby to filter to clean out pipe ,turn on ign fuel should come to filter and then with new filter in turn on fuel and see if any comes to carby if ok it should start and run. No it can't the 1Y is a 1600cc the head gasket wont fit because the 4Y is a 2000cc the piston are bigger

Set No. 1 to TDC/COMPRESSION. To set in the following manner. a. Remove No.1 spark plug. b. Place your finger over the hole of the no.1 spark plug and rotate the crankshaft clockwise to tdc. If pressure is felt on your finger this is TDC/Compression of the no.1 cylinder. If not repeat the process. c. Position the slot of the oil pump drive from 12 o clock looking at it from the bolt that holds the distributor down should be approx at 30 degrees to the right. d. Align the groove of the housing with the drill mark of the driven gear (not driven gear straight pin). e. Insert the distributor, aligning the center of the flange with that of the bolt hole on the cylinder block. f. Also you can line up the no.1 marking of the cap to the rotor position for no.1

Should be near the blower motor or on the firewall. The resistor is mounted in the blower housing to help keep it cool.
