Why does engine switch off after idling for short while 3vz engine

In a 2005 4Runner it is still a 3VZ ? Fascinating, long may it live, good engine. I'm assuming you mean the vehicle drives around OK but dies when hot, at idle. If you mean it dies when cold, after starting, that is different. A 3VZ can do this due to (somewhat in order of liklihood) - clogged IAC valve - water in the ignition parts - a vacuum leak in the intake manifold parts - clogged fuel filter - clogged air cleaner - worn or incorrectly gapped plugs - worn timing belt (it is a non interference engine) .

My 2005 Toyota 4runner with a v6 will not start when the temp gets below 32 outside what could be my problem

There could be several reasons why your engine will not start. When you first turn the key to the On position (without starting the engine), the lights on your dash should illuminate. The yellow Check Engine light should come on, at least for a few seconds. If not, then you are not getting power to your engine computer. Perhaps the fuse is loose. Locate the Engine fuse in the cabin fuse panel and wiggle it while watching the dash lights. When the Check Engine light illuminates, you should be able to start the engine. If not, then it is time to check for spark. You can remove a spark plug, install a jumper between the ground electrode and the engine block, insert the spark plug securely into the spark plug boot, and have an assistant crank the engine. If you see your spark plug firing, then you can assume you have a fuel delivery problem. Have the system pressure tested. You may have a weak fuel pump.

Reading about air fuel ratio on this. It points to an O2 sensor replacement. Emission parts are often forgotten, Yet are extremely important to these trucks performance. Any car really.

High pitch noise from under hood when i start my 2005 toyota 4 runner. The noise stops after about 30 seconds. sounds like a turbo charger spooling up but i dont have one.

You could remove the serpentine belt and see if the noise continues, then check each component one at a time. You describe a slipping belt because the alternator pulls hard for the first few seconds after you start the engine.

2004 Toyota Sienna. Driver side sliding door problem.

It is not clear whether your key fob continues to work for the passenger side door. If it does not, you should replace the battery in the fob. Such batteries are available at Wal-Mart among the batteries. If the sliding door on the driver's side makes a noise but fails to open when you use the fob, the latch motor maiy have failed. If the cable in the side door has frayed and snapped, this would explain why you can manually open and close the door but the electronics won't move the door. And if while trying to close it manually, the door fails to latch properly, this is why you get an alarm. If the latch motor, cables, or any other components are malfunctioning, it could lead to the door not closing securely, triggering the alarm. Check your latch mechanism and cables. If you can determine the malfunctioning part and replace it yourself, that is cheaper than going through the dealer.
