It is a downstream sensor which is behind the catalytic coventer. Check the wires before you replace. One more thing did you replaced catalityc converter.

What year is the vehicle ? Probably a bad fan control module .

A blown hose was either old, or I suspect the thermostat is not opening. Did you follow the method to clear air pockets in the cooling system when refilling it? Are the radiator fans functioning?

Sounds like you may have a bad spark plug and or wire, check the wires and plugs, if it's been more than 30,000 miles sence your last tune up, you should do a tune up anyway it may fix your problem.

If you've never changed the timing chain on this vehicle, you've gone twice as long as is advised. Not saying that's the issue, but it could be. I've had Subarus for years and change my timing chains at 90K miles, trouble or not.
