2002 Renault Clio Questions & Answers
Where can I find the crank sensor of the Renault Clio 1.4 16v 2002
I recently tried the DIY service and repair manuals from a website and it actually helped me repair transmission problem in my jcb 3cx site-master. it wont move forward or reverse, engine is good both solenoids for forward and reverse work.
I don't have much technical knowledge but I just followed it step-wise, and works perfect! got it from
www.reliable-store.com
All the best
Car wont turn over battery is ok
Check the ignition wire under dash first to see if it gets power. If not then wiggle key while in ignition. Sometimes they go bad. Also check fuses.
How can I get the engine to start
First check the connection unhook both and reattach. Then if that doesn't work check fuse to starter. If still no power. Check the ignition switch to see if it has power or needs replacing
What is fault obd2 code po500 on Renault Clio
Symptoms of a P0500 DTC may include: loss of anti-lock brakes the "anti-lock" or "brake" warning lamps on the dash may be lit the speedometer or odometer may not work properly (or at all) your vehicle's RPM limiter may be decreased the shifting of an automatic transmission may become erratic other symptoms may also be present
A code P0500 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: The Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) is not reading (functioning) properly There is a broken/frayed wire leading to the vehicle speed sensor The vehicle's PCM is not correctly configured for the actual tire size on the vehicle
Possible Solutions:
The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back.
Next, check all wiring and connectors that lead to the speed sensor. The location of the sensor depends on your vehicle. The sensor could be on the rear axle, transmission, or perhaps the wheel hub (brake) assembly.
If the wiring and connectors are OK, then check the voltage at the speed sensor. Again, the exact procedure wil depend on your make and model of vehicle.
If everything looks OK, replace the sensor.
My clio has shown fault codes df 135 and df 235 what do they mean
I've not had this indication myself, but a quick search found a similar part question about CLIOSPORTS car. In Apr 09 the following advice was given:
DF135 Brake pedal sensor circuit, signal incoherence - Memory
DF235: Cruise ctrl speed limiter, fault of the two brake pedal contacts
Advice: brake pedal switch (have a look in the guides, it just needs adjusting) also the cause of DF235.
So faults appear to be connected even if you do not have cruise control. I would have thought if your brake lights function that there should not be a problem.
Good luck
Dipstick location oil
they have one or they are ment to have one. Check the owners manual for that car if you don't have one go buy one from dealer. It gives you a lot of info you will need to maintain the car
Indicator and hazard not working in clio
CHECK THE FUSE BOX FOR blown flasher fuse. Dont think thats it but its 1st step. I think it is a bad flasher switch, if its not the fuse. Replace the switch. mike
Front air bag circuit 1. driver open circuit
This is one of those things you do not want to mess with, you can easily cause the air bag to deploy if you do not know what you are doing. The circuits are static sensitive. I would suggest taking it to the dealer or a good mechanic.
