Y 2001 grand am is not heating up properly, the coolint is full, very little heat in cab, would that be a thermistat problem

It could be a thermostat, but if it is the temperature gauge won't be up to the normal heat area on the gauge. It could also be the heater valve in the water line to the heater core that is stuck closed. If the coolant termp gauge is registering correctly, feel the temp on each side of the heater valve.

On this 2001 grand Am 2.4 what do you set spark plugs on.

On the 2001 Grand Am, there is an INFORMATION STICKER, usually located on the side of the engine well, which lists firing order, plug gap, and other pertinent information. If this sticker is missing, you will need to contact GM for information by VIN number.

I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Am and for the past 3 months it revs high when being started then down also for 2 weeks the Trac off light comes on car tries to die but when more fuel is given it picks up

You may have an idle air control motor issue ( IAC).This motor controls the idle on start up as well as normal driving conditions. Is the check engine light on. If it is it may give a hint as to what the problem is.The traction control light has no control as far as the idle is concerned,. It is controlled by the ABS system. Usually the ABS light will come on if there is a traction control issue.

01 grand am has dim headlamps, it started on the driver side now its on the passenger side I've changed the bulbs but the problem still exists. Can someone please tell me what is going on?

Are the headlight lenses dirty or discolored? There is a cleaning kit you can get to clean discoloration. If it is a bulb issue it will most likely be a ground problem with the headlight circuit
