Sounds like the converter is plugged. You may also have a timing issue. Start the car and hold a dollar bill by the tail pipe, if it gets sucked into the pipe you have a timing issue. If not you can disconnect the converter and see if it runs better, if it does then the converter is plugged.

I seem to think your cat is going for the running problem . the way that I myself ck this is to take the O2 sensor out before the cat and see if your car runs better this is just to ck thr running problem do not leave it out , it will be a little loud but at least you will find your problem , if your cat is clooging up means it is melted inside and will not let the exaust gas out through it and so it backs up like a clogged line , try it and get back

ok get a low voltage test light and check all the fuses with the key switch on,if you find one that is not coming on have someone turn the light on while you check if the test light lights up that is your fuse so go and check for proper ground i hope that info would help it help me when am not sure

code p2144 refers to exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) vent control--circuit low===causes wiring short to ground--EGR vent control. Check the condition of the wiring and if ok then replace the vent control

take it to a reputable locksmith, they should be able to cut and code the key.
