2003 Mercedes-Benz S500 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Reset air shock
If you have seen lower back several times but the car raised by itself before, then you have to replace air spring. I replaced those with Arnott air spring.
If you had this problem for the first time, your air spring will be fine. If you have 4 corners air spring and the front one blows air in and out, your pump is okay.
Then I will first replace air suspension relay which costs $30. And you will have to check air hose connection. Finally you could try to replace air pump.

Battery drain
Hello
Best thing to do is check whats using the power. If you can't find it then i suggest taking it to a mechanic. If your have anything left own over night it will diffecntly cause drainage problem.

BRAKE LIGHTS STAYS ON. the swith isnt the problem.
If the car thinks the brakes are on, then the switch on the brake pedal lever under the dash is bad. But this switch is not the only switch you have. IF your system works like the Ford products I am use to, then another interlock is present to prevent you shifting out of Park without pressing the brakes. If you are able to shift without your foot on the brake, you are still getting a signal to the second interlock with the trans. This means the brake pedal switch is saying your foot is pressing the pedal. Some cars are in the data base for Autozone.com. If you can register your car for free, most will have free wiring diagrams and fusebox layouts. You may have a relay for brake lights on a Mercedes. Other cars usually do not because it affects reliability. But a stuck brake relay could keep the light circuit on, if equipped.A better scanner can do brake functions and all you need to do is plug in the tester to the ABS port and see if the abs is identifying a problem. The cheaper scanners do not have this feature.A remote possibility is that you have a bad Master cylinder and the pedal is not returning to the full upright position.I hope my solution is helpful.

My 2004 mercedes-benz s500 radio turns on then says system unavailable and shuts off. I've tried to reset it to no avail
post all things that fail and work both
all maters
engine starts , runs , drives ok ,day or night?
all other electrical things on the car ,as in ALL do in fact work correctly?
or just the RADIO on the car fails.
many cars now the RADIO is part of the CAN , the car Area Network. and if that fails so does the RADIO.
if is in fact a factory RADIO there from MB.
what to do.
well
check all fuses first. never skip the easy first step and a 50cent cure..
next scan the USA? OBD2 scan port, and look for Radio errors
like COMM failures codes.
can I assume this RADIO is not SDAR , satelite radio
if is did you path the subscription bills? $$$$$$
or
the RD is base Radio and both are in fact CAN bus controlled
so yes, it must be scanned first, after fuses
sorry this is no simple 80s radio, not at all
and is antitheft protected too.
i request this post be moved to cars and not computers.
here is more than 1 fuse, the RD shows 2, F1 and F2
my online docs, are not so good, on all MB.
get the car scanned in any shop.
see the DTC error codes. next.
