I've tried this :) (( with a spare key with me... just in case )).. Try locking the door, they auto open :)... So the short answer is NO, you cannot lock your car with the remote inside it...IF your remote batteries are soooo weak that the car does not detect it, I believe you are out of luck then... The car will stay locked in this case...
I believe you've hopefully managed to get into your car by now... In any case, you can use the key from your fob to get into the car (( Yes, the old fashioned way!! ))...First up, you need to take the key out of the Fob (( obviously )).. In the driver/passenger side of the car, on the handle, to the right corner (( beyond the part which comes out when you pull the handle )) that Silver part on the door handle actually comes off!! Dont worry, you can pop it back in, you will not damage it... To get that small silver part open/pop-out, you can insert the key from UNDER the handle, to the right corner again... there is a small hole big enough for the key from the fob to go in, use that slot to pop out the small silver part, and voila! You get to see the normal key hole, where you use the same key and turn it to open the door!!With the battery dead, I do not think you can open the trunk (( dont think there are any secret entry points in the trunk, i've not found any :) )), but you can get access from the back seat... (( Keep the jump start cables near the back seat :) ))Hope this helps...
There is no asstton* on the 2008 ES350 to switch off the traction control (( pain in the *** when it snows+slippery )).From forums online, and I\'ve personally tested/used this... Keep the hand brake on (( its near the left leg )) when u switch on the car... And in the next few seconds, hit and release the brake twice, then keeping your leg on the brake pedal, release the hand brake, and put it on again (( twice, your right leg on the brake all this while )), and then when the hand brake is on, hit and release the brake twice... You will need to do this only immediately after the car starts, and it needs to be done in under 30 seconds (( from forums, never needed more than 10 seconds to do the whole thing ))..They do not recommend it cause apparently, the torque generated can cause the wheels to spin so much that it causes tires to burn out soon... Good luck!
Try taking some baking soda on a cue tip cotton swab and clean the connections where the battery touches. A lot of times a little corrosion causes the battery not to make a good connection, and then you battery operated devise won't work.
Hi, the engine light is indicating that the computer has detected a fault. You will have to extract the trouble code to determine the fault. Go here for instructions on diagnostics: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/es300-and-es330/324049-obd1-check-engine-light-codes.html
Please get back to me with the results/trouble code for assistance in resolving the fault.
The battery light may be indicating a weak alternator. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine idling. If the voltage is less than 14 volts, replace the alternator.
Im not sure the model lexus you have but most of them like the es300 has the starter up top, if you open the hood and locate the battery on the driverside and then look left and down you will see the starter, its at the rear of the engine on top near the battery, good luck, hope this helps.

It is definitely a cam problem. Was your replacement cam sensor OEM Japanese Denso, Made in China or Made in Mexico? Never go cheap on sensors.
DTC P0348 stands for Camshaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit High Bank 2. This code triggers when the signal coming from the CMP sensor located in bank #1 is either missing or inconsistent. The CMP sensor measures the speed and position of the engine's camshaft.

If you can't find the audio amplifier under the seat as mentioned in the manual, there are a few other places you might want to check:
Trunk area: Some Lexus LX470 models have the audio amplifier located in the trunk area, often mounted on the side panels or near the rear speakers.
Behind the dashboard: In some vehicles, especially those with more complex audio systems, the amplifier may be located behind the dashboard or near the head unit. You may need to remove some panels to access it.
Under the center console: Occasionally, car manufacturers install amplifiers under the center console or beneath other interior panels. This location keeps the amplifier hidden and can save space in the trunk or under the seats.
Behind the glove compartment: Sometimes, especially in luxury vehicles like Lexus, the amplifier may be tucked away behind the glove compartment. Removing the glove compartment may give you access to the amplifier.
If you still can't locate the amplifier after checking these areas, you may need to consult with a professional car audio technician or refer to specific technical documentation for your vehicle model. They may have insights or access to resources that can help you pinpoint the exact location of the amplifier.
