are the timing marks al in alignment if you changed the belt..also some systems require to be reset on the computer if the codes are still present.. take the negative cable off completely with the key in the run position.. then shut the key off and reconnect the negative..turn the key to run for a few seconds to allow all the factory presets to align.. then retry to start..

Most likely a solenoid on the valve body. It is just a coil that when energized pulls in metal rods, some push. When most coils start breaking down, they only act up when hot. Could also be the valves themselves. Also a bad seal. Ask friends for a good transmission shop. Some one that won't tell you a rebuild and only change a valve solenoid.

Veronica, You should have done your homework before taking the engine apart. If you didn't make sure you put the lifters back in the same place, did you get the camshafts in their correct location as well and did you get the timing marks lined up on the cams as well as the crankshaft? What would cause no compression what so ever we have replaced the head... Whatever your problem, you are going to have to start taking things apart until you find the cause.

The intake valve is usually larger. A valve that is stuck open can cause no compression.

Go to " you tube" and they will give the instructions on how to take dashboard face off over fan switch. Just put in your make, model and year of auto.

When you buy one from a parts store or from the dealer, they will know the size you need, based on year, make, model and the particular engine size that is in your vehicle.

If at all possible you need to check fuel pressure, fuel pressure should be at 49~50.5psi and should hold there. If pressure is low could be fuel filter or fuel pump or if pressuer does not hold then fuel is draining back into the tank causing an extended crank and is most likely the fuel pump assembly, it has a check valve that is suppose to hold the fuel pressure after shut off so the next time you start the engine the pressure will be there and engine will start right away. And keep in mind that I reccomend going this route ONLY because there are no warning lights, if you get a Check Engine Light (CEL) or a Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) then you may have another problem and it needs to be checked with a computer. My 2006 Rio cinco broke the door latch cable and I looked on line and it costs a lot for just one cable. So, I decided to tackle it and only cost me less than $5.00 You need sleeves,a big and small crimper, Dremel with disc cutting wheel and some concentration and thinking ahead, good luck. A 1/16 in. I have a 2018 Kia Forte EX and no matter how I pull the seat release lever in the trunk, like I've done with all of my other cars, when I go to pull the seat down it's still locked in place. The ONLY way I've been able to get around it is to pull the lever inside the trunk with one hand, and then pull on the headrest of the seat inside the car with the other. It's absurd. And it's the same on both sides. I should be able to simply pull the release lever in the trunk then go around to the seat and pull it down. But it doesn't work.

I'm not sure on that model. They need to work anyway with the ignition key in the second position so test the brake lights that way.

I literally have the same car, same issue. But i have p1529 and p0765 codes. Will update with an answer when i find one, already replaced the transmission output sensor with no luck.

I have had this more frequently as of late with the age of the vehicle. The internal wiring harness of the transmission usually goes bad causing this concern when it gets hot it causes it to throw it in limp home mode. Which reverts to 3rd gear.
