Can you add lube to rear axel in 2006 jeep wrangler x?

Yes on the rear diff. There's a plug on the back of the housing about 2/3rds the way from bottom. Remove that plug and stick your finger in to first knuckle and bend it down to check the fluid level. If you get oil on your finger tip, it's got oil in it. If not, put oil in till it's at the bottom of said hole. Put the plug back in a tighten it and You're done.

I have a2006 JEEP WRANGLER and is making a clicking noise from the drivetrain only when driving 5-10 mph ,can you please tell me what the problem is?

Not sure but the problem could be with the transfer case. The transfer case uses a heavy double chain and as it wears it can make a noise.

How to fix 2006 jeep wrangler p0073

Code 73 means the signal coming from the air temp sensor is too high. Could be the sensor or a short in the wiring. You may need a shop manual to get the testing procedures.

Will start when cold . then down the road dies, all electric cuts off and wont restart will after a wild

This really sounds like a "cold" connection. Start by taking battery voltage readings at the battery and then at various places along the circuit. Look for voltage drops across connections. Sounds to me like an issue that may be difficult to produce in the shop, hence your continued issue. You will need to know exactly what works and what does not, during this condition, to help narrow down the problem area.

Inertia switch location

what makes you think it has one? 1st check all fuses in both boxes then make sure CEL glows, key on, NO CEL means NO EFI power. Check engine light = CEL (MIL, mech named) may be the tank wire connector fell off. (2nd check) why not let the insurance shop fixing it , find this??? or not insured? if you are hit the other guy pays??? rear ended are 99% other guy at fault. so..... the first test is fuel pressure (a the fuel rail) see TJ jeep here, read the fuel schematics, its clear. only need a fuel pressure gauge and a voltmeter to find this. http://www.jeep4x4center.com/knowledge-base/index.htm?utm_source=cj#service its a jeep, the first thing you need to do is see if the ASD autoshutdown relay is closing key on, cranking..???? if that dont close, all else is just window dressing... fuse 12 and 23 kills fuel pump and ASD kills fuel pump. the fuel sensed level goes direct to the PCM.. now the secret ASD what is it what does it do and work.:??? 1: it cuts injection if spark fails or CMP or CKP fails. that is its #1 job, it closes every time you crank,(click) and if spark is good in 2 seconds it stays closed, if not it drops out. any scan tool can see why by cranking for 5 seconds and look for good cranking RPM (250?) and no DTCS for crank or cam sensors dead. this ASD is really the anti crash and burn relay.. in truth. ACBR . lol.\ on other cars the PCM does the ASD job. directly. but not jeeps. the inerial switch is for AIR bags, SRS, not pump the electrical circuit shows one extras switches. best i can tell, 100s of schematics... it have to be fuel only switch non electric, go to jeep.com and look at fuel lines parts drawings for free any time you want for such a valve. i have one car with a anti roll over switch but is mazda. (fuel) use the link above and online parts store to see all fuel related parts 1:fuel pressure to rail at spec? cranking !!! 2: spark , got spark 3: got injections? 4: PCM Scans dont show errors for 5 seconds cranking?

Engine surges at 2300RPM

The following are the general instructions on the start of diagnosing any electronically controlled engine or transmission problem.

The engine and the automatic transmission (transmission control is only for automatics, engine is still computer controlled no matter the transmission type) in this vehicle are computer controlled and in most cases when a fault occurs a fault code is stored in the memory of the computer control module. There are exception to this, such as the Mass Airflow Meter and fuel pressure problems. What must be done is to have all the basic testing done such as a scan of the system for fault codes as well as a check with a live data scanner tool for engine functions that are not within range of normal, a trained technician is required to know what is correct and what isn't, then based on careful diagnostics done from a factory repair manual the correct part is replaced or the wiring repaired or the computer replaced (known as the PCM or ECM,ECU), which is very rarely the problem. Other basic checks must be done as well such as mechanical problems with the engine as well as engine state of tune and mileage on the engine. The transmission can have mechanical issues as well such as no gear engagement at all or a failed pump or other pressure related problems. Also engine mechanical problems can and do cause many drive-ability related problem such as rough idle and other symptoms.

Dashboard gauge needles irratic jumping on / off / fluctuating

Found out that irratic dashboard gauge needles jumping all over the place was due to computer harness connector pins getting a little corrosive / rusty..... cured problem, over several times / applications by disconnecting harness, and spraying W\D 40 on pins (plugging in and unplugging several times), then wiping off pins and corrosiveness, and giving final light coat of W'D 40 and plugging in harness. Took a couple of times before problem disappeared over time.
