2010 Jeep Patriot 2.4 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues

Could be any one of a number of sensors for engine control . Mass air flow sensor , TPS - throttle position sensor, or APP- accerator pedal position sensor etc... Without testing an looking at scan tool data ,who could say for sure . How does the vehicle idle ? how does the vehicle run at cruise speeds ? Does the vehicle have electronic throttle control ? 2010 - i'm sure it probably does . Is the check engine light lit ? Your best bet would be to take it to a qualified repair shop.

Couple of places to check for you. It should be on the drivers side down by the feet behind a concealment panel. Either on the bottom of the dash under the steering wheel or behind the kick panel by the brake pedal. That panel will pull off.

double posted and still no details. define pulls. what pulls and when. we just dont know why not get the car serviced,? have a real mech, drive care and see if something pulls. and why. why not.

mine does it any time i drive funny, drive on gravel or ? it's normal what is not normal, is if it stays on. what does jeep pulls at 50 mean.?????????????? are what is pulling,??????????? do you mean the car pulls to the left or right ? steering wheel steady/.? brakes pull? while braking, or brakes pull full time? if the lamp is on , on flat hard dry pavement, the car needs service. the operators guide tells you all this, read the pages?. on traction controls.???? do so, read the whole thing. the lamp can mean: 1: car was out of control and i made corrections. 2: system failure. connect a scan tool see if there are DTCs on the system.s

Take it back to the yahoo who messed it up they sound like they sabotaged your truck I\'d go back ask for the owner explain what happened if they care about there cust you will b handled

here it is, BCM the causes are :lamps shorted. right side of car if is USA car.blinker switch lever is bad.scan the PCM see if lamp fails or lever fails.or BCM bad.not scanning it is missing THE BOAT big time. OBD2 scanner.any shop in the USA can scan your car even for free some do.ask em. no fuseno relayno blinker flasher modulethe below computer does all that like magic. BCM body brain. TIPMnote the blinkers have regulator or each side. this post assumes nothing else on the car is failing (all electrics things)

You can wire the 12v lighter plug directly to battery voltage and a good ground to ground it. You'll need an inline fuse though to protect against surges etc (10 amps would be good).

The abs and traction control use the same sensor system get the codes read to see which wheel speed sensor has thrown a fault

i would avise having the diagnostic equipment connected whilst driving car as this is an intermitent fault, this would need to be done by a qualified mechanic , and will show what is causing the problem if the OBD show everything is ok
