You need a pressure test on the cooling system .Then you will know if its the head gasket or not.

Take it to you local garage and have a check done on the coolant pressure .If head is leaking it will find this out .And .If its not , then its a simple fix.

You will likely need to swap some electronics as well as the computers for the two engines would have different engine management criteria. You will also need to confirm that transmission or transaxle is compatible.
