Revs high when i change gear

Is it possible the clutch pedal is interfering with the throttle? Start the engine in neutral and allow it to idle. Press only the clutch pedal down and see if this increase the engine speed. If it does speed up the engine and slows back down when you release the clutch then somehow this operation is where your fault lies. If it doesn't alter the idle speed, then rev your engine and release the throttle to see if it returns to idle immediately. If it is slow to return to idle then your throttle cable could be sticking. This means when you change gear lifting off the throttle has little effect and depressing the clutch to change gear causes the engine to race as the throttle is still partially open.

Googmorring sir/madam

Take your papper work in and tell them you want it fixed and you dont feel you should have to pay for there misdiagnosis the first time. You need to talk to the service manager. If he insists on you pay tell him you want to talk to his boss.keep going up the ladder all the way to the auto manufacturer.

My 2005 Fiesta (only 26k miles)air recirc light comes on intermittently and the engine loses power intermittently. What is the problem likely to be? Thanks

AC on the fritz. When the AC clutch engages, it robs a lot of engine power. When you have your heater control on defrost, it engages the AC to dry the air so your windshield doesn't fog. Try unplugging the wiring harness going to the AC pump and see if that helps.

How?

Not to much details there, but I'll try. My guesses are, handle and cable in the seat have separated, the cable has broken, some other pulley / clamp / clip has slipped out of place. If you can't find any of these, have you considered using a piece of wire / cord etc. to pull the release manually (if possible)? If you still have this problem after looking over that stuff, take pics of seat, clamp, handle and upload. I may have a better solution if I could see it. Hope I helped anyway. Grimm

My semi auto fiesta wont start in damp weather

One word - Condensation - check your "computer case" under you hood for any cracks, leaks, moisture etc. It can also be the weather seal, open box and check for moisture, mildew smell. Fuse boxes can be equally damaged. Check the owners manual to see how many fuse boxes you have and check them too. There's usually one under the dash and one under the hood. If none of that works, find the ground wire from the engine to the car body / frame. Single thin black wire attached to with a single screw or bolt, if it's loose, that could be it too. Good Luck. What are the precautions to take when removing the battery that will not disturb the car radio when you have no resetting disk for a car radio

get a 9 volt battery and cigarette lighter plug and connect the 9 volts battery positive to the center wire in the cigarette plug and negative to the second wire, then plug it into your cigarette lighter socket, then you can remove the car battery and install the new car battery. good luck :)

I have a fiesta 04 plate and the immobiliser is on how do i turn it off

They are all different but many systems will work if you leave key turned to on for 5 to15 minutes or so (need good battery) and then click right to start. Bigger issue may be chip key or ignition "reader" in vehicle may have lost contact due to age.

Bypass sensor

I'm guessing you have already had the onboard computer scanned, and know for a fact that the O2 sensors are your problem. If not, You can go to autozone and they will do a scan for free. With that being said, bypassing your O2 sensors is probably not a good idea. Your mileage will suffer, and you can potentially damage the catalytic converter which is very expensive to replace. Eventually, your car will become harder and harder to start, begin stalling out, and finally not start at all. A pair of generic sensors from Autozone or the part store of your choice, will resolve your problem for under a $100 in most cases. You will need to buy or borrow an O2 socket if you don't have one already, to remove the old sensors. It's an easy job to do, and will save you time, money, and multiple headaches in the long run.
