What year is the truck ? Probably has DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code or codes stored in the transfer case shift control module. These would point to the problem .

There should be 2 ways of doing this. Get a portion of the wiring harness off a wreck or see if Ford can get you a new wire. Someone else may know more about this but some wires have heating elements in them and some may have resistance in the wiring. A plain wire would not be the same.

Hello Michael Helfter, Welcome to FIXYA... Mine is a 2004 Lincoln Navigator... but I believe they are essentially the same vehicle (my only caveat). 2017 Ford Expedition Navigator Factory Wiring Schematic Manual eBay For my purposes... (adding a rear-view camera onto the FACTORY navigation system)... leaving the seats, panels and carpeting were not an issue (easy access). I believe (again) the sides pop right out... But first check along the floor edge and all the way up tp the where the CONSOLE intersects with the firewall for any screws... Finding no screws... work your FINGERS under the bottom edge and pull gently (as you would to loosen a door clip)... Reassembly becomes obvious when looking at the parts... It all goes together in seconds. The center of the panel comes out more by lifting than pulling (again... GENTLE pressure is enough to get it apart. Hope this helps. Carnac the Magnificent

The turn signal stalks are a weak point in design. Too much going on with high-low beams, 4-way flashers, wiper control etc. One thing you can try is to push 4-way flashers button 20 times and see if right-left signals will work now. They use same contact leads and can shift out of position. Check internet for prices if purchasing new stalk. There are some security fittings that require a special bit to remove the stalk.

could be related to tuning up and wires coils could be the bad catalytic converter.

Your best bet , take it to a qualified repair shop .

Check the valve covers for small leaks, the oil will run down onto the exhaust manifold and this causes the burning smell. Oil leaks on this model and engine is a very common issue.

its the solenoid pack in the transmission, there is multiple videos on you tube on how to replace, or unclogg the bushings

1. Set the parking brake.

1. Remove the steering column shrouds.

1. Turn the ignition to the accessory position and apply the brake or actuate the brake shift interlock actuator (BSIA) override.

1. Put the selector lever into the NEUTRAL position.

1. Disconnect the BSIA electrical connector.

1. Remove the BSIA screw.

1. Gently pry the clip up and remove the BSIA.

1. NOTE: During installation, verify that the BSIA override has been activated and the slider is fully rearward. Before rotating the selector lever from NEUTRAL into PARK, align the selector lever tab into the BSIA. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

If can pull out the radio, chk and see if you have a constant 12v + that missing voltage could cause that issue.

What year expedition ? The head lamps are controlled by a module (electronic module ) VSM- vehicle security module or SJB - smart junction box on newer expeditions . The module received a input from a shorted switch or light sensor or something of that nature . Having a professional type scan tool hooked up ,checking codes in the GEM or SJB would be the first step . Or you could find wiring diagrams for the inputs to the module , take your vehicle apart an test the circuits with a volt meter . You can find wiring diagrams at www.bbbind.com .
