Check for a switch on the brake pedal lever. The part releases the gearshift when you put your foot on the brake pedal. A drivers foot often hits this switch and causes the problem. For the rest of your problems they may correct when you work on the brake pedal switch. Or you may have damaged electrical system by shorting the brake pedal switch.

suggest taking in for service could have something to due with the central locking system for the suv. hard to diagnoise a sound with out being able to experience it . could be a door latch, a control module, a relay never no untill you start looking at wiring diagrams. just a couple ideas good luck

Start with checking battery cables. When it doesn't start, will the headlights turn on? If not suspect a battery cable/connection issue. If the headlights turn on and nothing happens, possible a starter motor problem

1st your car should not idle below 110 rpm even in gear idle problems on these are caused by both broken or open vac ports or a dirty throttle body the A/F ratio cant get a correct reading

car is to old and needs some work on maybe there is some thing wrong with the gear!!!

some of the alternators on these would start to overcharge when they go bad this will cause data errors due to high voltage have a charge test performed.

Sounds like a break in the wire on that side. The courtesy lights are on the same circuit with the dash lights. You should have a hot and ground for each door switch light.

Doubt it.Most of the time a failed chain will keep the engine from starting.

Is it also downshifting when it shouldn't? My starting place would be the TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) This is located on the throttle buterfly & controls the gear shift
