I have the same problem 2010 nissan pathfinder LE

Well the knock sensor does not make any noise. It senses the vibration in the engine if there is a spark knock to let the computer know to slow down the spark timing. You probably have a weak piston or lifter or rod bearing making the noise.

Make sure whatever is plugged into the Aux port is the proper size and configuration (2-lead, 3-lead; 3.5mm, etc) as far as the cable, is properly seated (not so big that it doesn't fit all the way in) and that the device is on. Most Aux inputs don't activate unless there is an active signal coming in.

If you handy remove an O2 sensor closer to the engine and start the vehicle if the cat is clogged this will allow the pressure to come out and run

Your speed sensor is giving out I believe. The transmission is fine, I'm very sure of it. So in short: It's electrical! FYI: When the speed sensor signal is not reaching the computer, it doesn't know if/when to shift gears, or what gear to even be in. That's my basic summary of why this happens. There could be more to it than I know considering it's a newer car... but I think I'm right about it being a speed sensor.

Removal & Installation

1. Drain the cooling system.
2. Remove the cooling fan motor and shroud, as outlined in this section.
3. Remove the front bumper cover, as follows:
   • Raise and safely support the vehicle..
   • Remove the 2 bolts from the top of the radiator grille.
   • Remove the 4 scrivets from the top of the radiator grille.
   • Remove the 3 lower pin-type retainers.
   • Remove the 6 fender splash shield screws (3 each side).
   • Remove the 4 lower screws (2 each side).
   • Disconnect the side marker lamp electrical connectors, if equipped.
   • Disconnect the fog lamp electrical connectors, if equipped.
   • Remove the front bumper cover.
   • Pull the corner of the bumper cover from the bracket.
4. Disconnect the upper radiator hose and lower degas bottle hose from the radiator.
5. Disconnect the lower radiator hose from the radiator.
6. Lift and remove the tabs from the radiator support and position the radiator towards the engine.
7. Remove the 2 A/C condenser bolts from the radiator and separate the condenser from the radiator. To install, tighten to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.).
8. Remove the radiator.

To install:

1. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure, noting the following:
   • Tighten the A/C condenser-to-radiator bolts to 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
   • Fill and bleed the cooling system.

Check the CV joint cover boots for cracks or tears. Make sure there is enough grease in the joint.
