Winding noise on the left handside of car, what can it be? some is say is time belt some say its the power stering bell
Hi Alvaro, well based on your description it could be a few things! Firstly when you say left of car, is that as you look at it from the front, ie. you mean driver's side? If so then a whining noise will most likely come from the alternator and/or belt. That's the simplest area to check and eliminate first. Otherwise it could be the water pump which is driven by the timing belt. Replacing the water pump is not a major job but requires removal of the timing belt. I believe the power steering on your car is electric and if that's playing up you would most likely have a warning light on dashboard. Now, if you mean the passenger side when you say left side and you also talk about noise being present when you are driving along then it could be any of the following: wheel/tyre rubbing on something, noisy gearbox, noisy driveshaft/CV joint, wheel bearing, noisy clutch. So really need you to be a bit more specific about the type of noise, where it's coming from and when to help. Otherwise you'd best pop in to your local garage for diagnosis. Hope that helps. Andy

How do you remove sump on fiat punto
its so simple you should be able to do this with your eyes shut and dont forget to drain the oil first ,what goes on these cars is the oil pick up pipe ,its aluminium and snaps off so no oil to the big ends its a fairly common fault i have encountered

No breaks on fiat punto
If you or someone you know could fix them they are easy enough depending where it's leaking from is it from the pipes or calipers the calipers are easy enough to change goto a scrapyard and get one for around 10 to 15 pounds you and a friend could bleed the calipers
or you could buy
A self bleeding tool cheep enough so you could do it on your own.

Fiat punto 2002 stutters when driven
The amber MiL light, lights on a number of problems. You need to get it sorted, you could miss a serious fault, and cause More damage. Needs to go on a code reader. From past experience with Punto's, the stutter could be a ignition coil fault (quite common) or a spark plug, both will cause the light to come on. Good Luck.

How do you get a Fiat Punto (2002) fuel cut off switch to stay down? Time for a new one? Or quick fix?
this works like a trip switch ,,, are you sure there is no electrical fault??? if the electrics are ok i would replace it ,,,, it is possible to bypass this but its not recomended because if a fault occurs in the future there will be no trip switch to break the circuit and this means petrol will keep being supplied and in a crash that could be a fire hazard ,,, so for safety retain the system as it is designed,,,

What does the yellow triangle light? I have piat punto car
Its the "Check Engine Light" also known as the CEL. If it is just "on" and not flashing take it to your mechanic or dealer and get them to scan the "On Board Diagnostic" (OBD) for a fault. Often CEL faults are minor and clear themselves. Is the car doing anything else?
If the light is flashing it indicates a major problem then you mustn't drive the car. Ring the mechanic and ask them what to do. It may require towing the car.
You can also contact the
http://fiatforum.com and ask the question there. Most car forums have plenty of members with deep knowledge of your vehicle and any issues it might have.
Yet another option is to purchase an "ELM327" Bluetooth OBD adapter on eBay for just a few dollars.. You then have a tool where you can scan the "CanBus" (connected to the OBD) and it will read the fault log. I recommend and use "Torque" - an android app for ~$4US to connect. First time you use it, it will save you money. Once you have the fault log, a few minutes googling the codes it shows will tell you what is causing the CEL.
