Hi, i need information on my Fiat Punto 1200. I

Sounds like you've got a whole bunch of problems all at once. The curious thing is that none of them seem to be inter-related - obviously, the linkage to your carb is broken, bent or otherwise compromised; the not-starting thing could be one or more of a gazillion things, but my bet is your battery is toast. Sounds like one for the shop. Sorry. . .

Steering wheel fault light comes on

Hi there is a common fault with the PUNTO steering electric motor connector, I suggest that you have a look at the connector at the back of the steering motor, probably is shorting a bit and cause a fault. Good luck

New starter fitted but still fails to start unless with push

A garage told you that it was the starter motor which was replaced.. and then suggested the ignition switch? That's not much of a garage.. Those symptoms are indicative of a solenoid/relay/switch fault. But how do you find out which? Though to be honest, ignition switch (key) failures are actually quite rare. The truth is you can spend a lot of time and money replacing parts and finding that nothing cures the problem. You've already paid for a new starter which didn't cure the problem.. Seriously - give an auto electrician a call. Or a mobile mechanic. Let them identify the fault (and they usually do..). You'll get a lot of 'could be' advice which may cost you a lot in replacement parts and not fix things. Give an auto electrician or mobile mechanic a call.

Steering locks in motion?

How many miles are on this vehicle? Has the problem got worse over time? Doe it happen only in one direction at approximately the same place? It sounds like a rack and pinion problem. If any of the above are your problem, draining a pint of your power steering fluid and adding some fluid with PTFE will probably help if not fix the problem.

Fiat punto 2005 spark plug change

Hi Gerard, on a 1.28v Punto the plugs are on the back of the cylinder head tucked between the 4 inlet manifolds. The plug closest to the timing belt end (just next to the oil dipstick) is easy to find, the others are a bit obscured by the plastic housing that sheaths the injector wiring. Be careful pulling off the suppressor caps, they hang on quite tight so best use long nose pliers and NOT pull on the HT lead. Hope that helps. Andy

What does the yellow triangle light? I have piat punto car

Its the "Check Engine Light" also known as the CEL. If it is just "on" and not flashing take it to your mechanic or dealer and get them to scan the "On Board Diagnostic" (OBD) for a fault. Often CEL faults are minor and clear themselves. Is the car doing anything else? If the light is flashing it indicates a major problem then you mustn't drive the car. Ring the mechanic and ask them what to do. It may require towing the car. You can also contact the http://fiatforum.com and ask the question there. Most car forums have plenty of members with deep knowledge of your vehicle and any issues it might have. Yet another option is to purchase an "ELM327" Bluetooth OBD adapter on eBay for just a few dollars.. You then have a tool where you can scan the "CanBus" (connected to the OBD) and it will read the fault log. I recommend and use "Torque" - an android app for ~$4US to connect. First time you use it, it will save you money. Once you have the fault log, a few minutes googling the codes it shows will tell you what is causing the CEL.
