Hi there If your car has a radiator then it is coolant and engine runs at approx 35deg as it works the thermostat witch controls the water flow through the radiator AND your engine is running to hot, OR you have a blown head gasket witch will cause the same problem also check that the radiator isent blocked from the outside [like paper etc] or inside like dirt as some people fill with water from a dam etc. Let us know how you get on with above.

Check the air filter, check the injectors, IT is running rich so it is either not enough air flow into the engine or it has worn injectors that are letting in too much fuel.

Hi Take the number 1 plug out and put your finger over the plug hole and turn the engine over by hand slowly till it starts to blow your finger off and keep turning by hand front pulley till no more pressure on your finger [you must be slow the more you get to the top of the stroke] ,when no more pressure there should be a pointer on the front pulley and the 2 first front valves should be very very slightly loose ,and should be firing on number 1 cylinder.
