You need a code reader to start the process of fining the issue. The traction control is under the vehicle and is tied to the break system. Drivers side on the frame rail. If the vehicle wont start you may have a failing ECM
Slide under the front of the engine,do you see a crank sensor reading off the front crank pulley? If you see one on your model,99% of the time it's that sensor that fails.
This is a communication cod that corresponds to the throttle motor. The proper way to diag. this is with a DSO and to view the waveform of the communication going to the throttle motor. (see attached information.
Are you saying the engine is overheating? If so, check out the cooling system (particularly the fluid, fluid level and thermostat). It is possible the temperature sensor failed again (maybe a wiring problem, incorrect or cheap sensor), but more likely the cooling system temperature is very close to the setting of the sensor, and depending on driving conditions, temperature could be bouncing up and down around the sensor setpoint.
Two different problem. First problem cooling fans check for power at connect, then use a power prob and see if fans start. Need a Chilton repair Manuel to see how to do this.
