2005 Cadillac STS 4.6 - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
2005 Cadillac STS 4.6 won't start
Hello. Your car might have a 'cracked' vacuum hose that goes to the fuel pressure regulator. If that's the case, the engine will 'flood' and won't start. It can also be the fuel pressure regulator itself. One more thing: if the torque converter is malfunctioning, that will stop the engine as soon as it is put in any drive gear. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.
Fix engine light
Not likely.... But as you just put fuel injector in make sure your fuel cap is tight cause if its not the computer will detect a evaporation leak in the gas tank. So tighten the gas cap and drive the car for a few days & see if the engine light goes off .. If not get the computer scanner to see what's going on
2007. What caused transmission to stop shifting?
Hello. It seems either the torque converter and/or transmission pump is at fault. Either one will cause the transmission to become inoperable. It seems the 'transmission pump' is more at fault than the torque converter. Good luck and keep me informed; if you want to.

1997 cadillic sts trunk lid will not latch to close
Do you mean the pulldown is not working, or the trunk lid latch is not connecting to the pulldown assembly when you try to close the trunk?
This latter case typically happens when someone slams the trunk lid down several times not realizing there is a pulldown system and thinking slamming it will make it close (this often breaks something). Check the latch on the trunk lid - if it's in the closed position, use the key to try to move it to the open position and try gently closing the lid again.
If not, there is also a switch on the pulldown assembly that starts the pulldown motor when it is depressed by the closing trunk lid - you can also check this to make sure it's working. Otherwise, either the latch or the pulldown assembly has been bent/broken.

Our fuel gauge has just
The fuel sending unit in the gas tank is bad and you will need to replace it by dropping the tank down and pulling the fuel pump housing out as it is mounted on the side of the assembly. Run the tank low as possible if you pull the tank off and there is a inspection cap on top and you can remove the assembly after disconnecting the fuel lines and wires on top of the tank. Hope this helps.
