Check engine light fuse

Most of the warning lights get power from the same circuit, and are grounded by their sending units, including the engine computer. So if one warning light is out, chances are the problem is the bulb or the circuit board in the instrument cluster.

Car will not shift out park

Most likely the brake interlock switch on the brake pedal is faulty or disconnected or the solenoid which holds the shifter is faulty or disconnected.

My airbag light stays on my 2000 Cadillac dts

Could be a problem with the airbag itself or could just be a faulty crash sensor. Need to take it to a shop that has a scan tool that will read airbag or SRS codes. Most handheld scanners can't read them.

Voltage drops while driving on my 2007 cadillac dts

You will need the dealer to check this out, the reason is the alternator output voltage is computer controlled on this make of car and it takes special equip to diagnose the problems that cause this voltage drop, it could be the alternator for it could be a poor connection or a defective powertrain control module

My 2006 DTS won't always

To diagnose the problem you will need to disconnect the linkage at the transmission and see if you can manually move the transmission selector into park when it's stuck. This will tell you whether your problem is with the shift lever in the car or with the transmission itself. If you can't manually put the car in park from the transmission lever I would first disconnect the neutral safety switch to make sure it isn't somehow jambing the mechanism. The next step would be to drop the transmission pan and inspect the internal linkage.
The bushings gets shot where the shift linkage connects to the transmission. And this causes this problems. There is a direct linkage from shifter to the ******, that needs to be inspected.------ If the bushings are worn out, they needs to be replaced.------ -------- Getting this possibilities of shift linkage and bushings checked will help.Thanks.Helpmech.

I own a 2008 Cadilac

To get to the bulb you would need to take the whole light assembly out. There are I think 5 screws holding the entire assembly and wiring and that should be it.

I get a warning message

This isn't indicating a failure - if it was you'd get a check engine light and your mechanic would be able to read a chassis failure code. This is a periodic reminder message that based on miles driven since the last time a suspension service was indicated, you are now due for another suspension service (likely an inspection). That's all you're dealing with here.

Go back thru & recheck your wiring - sounds like something got knocked loose/disconnected when the stereo was installed. If that's not it - check your fuse box or any relay switches connected to the power windows.

I have a 2008 Cadillac

NO, the cabin air filter is not causing the problem you are having, it might cause low air flow into the cabin but it can not cause the system not to cool, how do you know the pressure is ok? did you install a set of gauges? also this car is equiped with a climet control computer, and should have a trobble code if the system is not working. have someone like autozone retreve the codes and get back with me and i will look them up and see if i can help you get to the bottom of this problem. you might try having autozone clear the codes after retreving them that might be all you need done to reset the computer.

2002 Cadillac dts,radiator cooling fans

One thing you could check is one of the fans works with the AC so cut your air on and see if one of them works ,check fuses and if you can locate a sensor coming out of the block or around thermostat housing with two wires and unplug it and if the fans come on you have a bad fan switch.

How to take door panel

there will be 2-4 screws you will need to unscrew. usually one located around inner door handle and 2 of more around arm rest and maybe some on the lower part of the door and panel. the screws are usually covered by plastic covers. you can remove these with a small flathead screw driver to find the screws. after all screw have been removed carefully pry the panel off with plastic pry bar to prevent scratching. it will literally "pop" off with clips. be careful, you dont have to use tons of force, check to make sure all screws have been removed. then the panel will hang there because its still connected to lights, switch, and door handle. remove these connectors and the panel will come right off. if the window fell off the track, it might be as simple as screwing it back on the window regulator. worse case the regulator linkage is cracked and you will need a new window regulator.
