2006 cadillac cts turns of after 5-10 seconds of running, engine stumbles usually when warmed up

Sounds like an O2 sensor problem, and I would start by replacing it. When the engine first starts and it is relatively cold, it goes into open loop mode and does not use O2 sensor readings to control fuel flow (uses various preset values for these and other sensors instead, and the engine should initially idle at 900-1000 rpm). When the engine warms up, the computer goes into closed loop mode and does use these readings. If if the O2 sensor is faulty, it can cause the problem you describe. There are other causes for fuel delivery problems as well - bad gas or water in the tank, failing fuel pump, kinked fuel line or a plugging fuel filter, failing pressure regulator, a fouled or failing injector, problem in the EVAP system, etc.

My reverse lights and my brake lights will not work with the anti theft light on in the dash

These lights are all computer controlled ! Several modules involved DIM - dash integrated module , RIM - rear integrated module .They share information on serial data communication network . Class 2 an or GMLAN ! The rear fuse block supplies battery positive voltage through the REVERSE LAMP fuse to the coil and switch terminals of the reverse lamp relay. The DIM sends a power mode message to the RIM indicating that the ignition is in the ON position. When the driver of an automatic transmission equipped vehicle places the gear selector in the REVERSE position, the powertrain control module (PCM) sends a class 2 message to the RIM. The message indicates that the gear selector lever is in the REVERSE position. When the driver places a manual transmission equipped vehicle in reverse the reverse gear position switch mounted on the transmission closes. This provides a ground for the reverse gear position switch signal line, informing the RIM that the transmission is in reverse. For both automatic and manual transmission vehicles the RIM then grounds the control circuit of the reverse lamp relay . This energizes the reverse lamp relay, closing the switch side contacts and providing battery positive voltage to the backup lamp bulbs. The backup lamps are permanently grounded at G402. With both power and ground the backup lamp bulbs illuminate. Once the driver moves the shift lever out of the reverse position a message is send either by class 2 by the PCM or the reverse gear position switch opens causing the RIM to remove the ground from the reverse lamp relay control circuit. This opens the contacts in the relay turning OFF the backup lamps. This is something best left to the dealer or a ASE certified repair shop . Need a factory or professional grade scan tool to diagnose an repair this . http://www.public.asu.edu/~pheanis/documents/VBI_CAN.pdf

Car wont start traction light is on gas gage wont work temperature wont wrk air conditioner blows hot air key wont come out of switch doors lock with key in switch if cars left running

With all of the electrical problems your having , your best bet would be to take it to a ASE certified repair shop ! Because the first place to start is hooking a professional grade scan tool to see if all the modules on the vehicle are communicating with the scan tool an each other ! I don't know the existent of your knowledge of your vehicle ! Your vehicle has at lest ten computers onboard an they all communicate on a serial data communication network , Class2 The data link connector (DLC) allows a scan tool to communicate with the class 2 serial data line. This serial data line is the means by which the microprocessor-controlled modules in the vehicle communicate with each other. Once the scan tool is connected to the class 2 serial data line through the DLC, the scan tool can be used to monitor each module for diagnostic purposes and to check for diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). Class 2 serial data is transmitted on a single wire at an average of 10.4 kbps. This value is an average, class 2 uses a variable pulse width modulation to carry data and depending on the message it may operate faster or slower. The bus will float at a nominal 7.0 volts during normal operation. Each module can pull this lower during the transmission. The bus is not at battery positive voltage or ground potential during normal operation. When the ignition switch is in RUN, each module communicating on the class 2 serial data line sends a state of health (SOH) message every 2 seconds to ensure that the module is operating properly. When a module stops communicating on the class 2 serial data line, for example if the module loses power or ground, the SOH message it normally sends on the data line every 2 seconds disappears. Other modules on the class 2 serial data line, which expect to receive that SOH message, detect its absence; those modules in turn set an internal DTC associated with the loss of SOH of the non-communicating module. The DTC is unique to the module which is not communicating, for example, when the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) SOH message disappears, several modules set DTC U1088. Note that a loss of serial data DTC does not normally represent a failure of the module that set it. . The ignition on you caddy has a safety system known as Electronic Park Lock (EPL)/Ignition Lock Cylinder Control Actuator for floor shift or Linear Shift Assembly: If the vehicle is equipped with a column mounted gear shift, it has a linear shift assembly on the steering column. The linear shift assembly has a cable that runs from the linear shift assembly to the ignition lock cylinder case. The purpose of this cable is to prevent the ignition key from being turned to the OFF position when the transmission is in gear and the vehicle may still be moving. The linear shift assembly cable contains a pin that is spring loaded to mechanically prevent the ignition key cylinder from being turned to the lock position when the vehicle transmission is not in the PARK position. If vehicle power is lost, and/or the transmission is not in the PARK position the operator will not be able to turn the ignition key to the lock position and will not be able to remove the ignition key from the column. On vehicles that have several control modules connected by serial data circuits, one module is the power mode master (PMM). On this vehicle the PMM is the dash integration module (DIM). The PMM receives 2 signals from the ignition switch. To determine the correct power mode the PMM uses the following circuits ?€¢ Accessory voltage

?€¢ Run/Crank voltage

Where is the gas filter in a 2006 cadillac cts and approximately how much does it cost to repair!

It is underneath the vehicle, in the rear, directly adjacent to the gas tank. It has a threaded fitting at one end, and a "quick connect" fitting at the other. The replacement part can be found for less than U.S.$10, but if you want to do it yourself, MAKE SURE TO DEPRESSURIZE THE FUEL SYSTEM BEFORE REMOVING THE OLD FILTER!!! Follow the standard on-5-off-5-on-5-off-5-on procedure for repressurizing the system when you install the new filter.
