P1050

Hi this is the Variable valve timing (VVT), bank 1 - limp-home mode - full stroke position not reached P1062 and the P1050 is the VVT control unit itself, try checking the connections to it make sure they are secure, if all looks good, then you might have to change the unit as this will keep making the vehicle go into limp mode. hope that helps

Bmw trouble codes poo12

Likely the camshaft position sensor OR possibly a Vanos problem. The first is relative easy DIY the Vanos is more complicated. The Vanos will likely throw up a P0010 eventually.

Brake pedal drops very low on first press only

It is most likely you have air in the brake fluid. The first press of the pedal compresses the air and the effect lasts for a little while. Another cause may be warped (bent) rotors, the pads can be pushed back into the calipers by the off center area of the rotor. This means that the pads have to travel further in order to contact the rotors when you press the pedal.

Remove seat belt

Hi Ray, Removal of the seat belts requires removal of the seats. Adjust the front seats to the fully backwards position and remove the fixing bolts and then unhook rails at the rear. You will notice a wire cable attached to each seat used to adjust the belt shoulder hight. This must also be disconnected. On later model vehicles there is an automatic retraction unit which pulls the driver and or passenger back into the seat in the event of the air bags being deployed. These connections must also be removed. If seats are electrically operated unplug all connectors. Remove seats and then gently remove plastic door pillar covers. (These are in two pieces for each front belt.) Removal will leave the fixing bolts of retractable part of the seat belt exposed. The buckle side is fixed with one bolt and has an electrical connection which must be disconnected. Hope this is of help? Regards John

( 2003 BMW Z4 )My

replacing the headlight unit will not solve your problem since your problem is about electricity.

try to search for a relay or fuse for your headlight, most likely you will see a relay since there is only a single fuse for both headlights. meaning of this fuse blows off, both headlights will not turn on. relays are attached to each headlight, so if one goes off, the other one will still work.

if this does not solve your problem, have an electrician check your headlight wiring connections.

2003 bmw z4 top moves

Asuming that you re talking about the convertable top. you can try two things. the motors some times do not get lubricated and over time the Grease on the motor gets tacky. By cleaning the motor and reapplying new grease and operating the motor a few times before reinstalling it to work in the new grease. If there is not improvement in the operation of the motor it should be replaced to bring the convertible top back to 'new' condition.

Expansion tank overheating, have had

It is most likely pressure from the cylinder that is leaking into your expansion tank, and with all the misdiagnosis, you have probably overheated the engine and severely damaged the gasket. I am afraid that you expenses are not at an end yet. You are looking at at least a cylinder head gasket replacement and a head skim. Plus a lot of flushing and cleaning out of the engine. I wish fir your sake the news could have been better.
