There's a better chance you have the gasket on wrong although improper torque could do it as well but in either case the head will have to come off again. I hope this helps. Take care.

The BMW’s have a safety feature that will not allow the car to start if there is an issue. I have a 07 x3 that did same thing. I had it towed and it was the serpentine belt. You may check that first.

I have the same problem, I am able to get the car to start by jumping the car battery red terminal to the engine compartment red terminal (this bypasses the Internal Battery Management system), the car stayed running after disconnecting the jump. I then tried disconnecting the black battery terminal secondary which is supposed to control the IBM system, but that did not work. There is supposed to be a unit under the spare tire that could be a problem.

Fusible link.... That's a fuse in the form of a wire. It's made with a high silver content and the wire breaks but the exterior insulation doesn't. So ya hafta pull and if it stretches; replace it. It will be near the battery or in the harness; and three gauge sizes smaller than a coppe wire would be.

!!!You need to get this checked out NOW!!!
The most obvious leak on that area of the car is the BRAKE LINES. Is the car left or right hand drive?
If you can safely see under the car use a torch to see where the leak is coming from. Fluids can travel across bits of bodywork before it drips.
if it is near the sides of the car it could be brake fluid. If it is nearer the centre line of the car it could be gearbox or diff oil.
Please comment below with information on what you can see and I'll try to help more.
