Have you checked your fuses ? Might also want to begin checking for power from the fuse panel to the light assembly.

That terminal is up front because the battery is in the trunk and less accessible. You can hook the charger up positive to the underhood post you mentioned. If there is no negative post shown in the manual, keep in mind that the whole chassis and engine is grounded. Any exposed metal parts should work - a shock tower bolt for example.

You can hook the charger directly to the battery in the trunk too, but the above should work just fine.

remember this is not a warning about oil level, that is another system, this is the engine oil pressure warning, this means the oil pressure being read by the oil pressure sending unit is below about 5-10 pounds per square inch or PSI, at this low of pressure the engine bearings can be damaged as well as other components like the valve train parts, the thing to do here is have the oil pressure tested by a shop with a special calibrated mechanical test gauge, the one in the car is electronic, u may just have a defective oil pressure sending unit, but take no chances, if the pressure is really low engine damage will occur soon, get the oil pressure PSI checked ASAP, if it is ok then the shop will replace the oil pressure sending unit on the engine, about a $100 part.

If you have a multimeter remove and test the fuses for continuity (OHMS) as fuses can look OK but they have blown. If your replacing fuses ONLY replace the with one of the Same colour and Amp rating.

Check the basics first. Is battery fully charged? This is the most common reason for a no crank, no start. What exactly does it do when you turn the key? Nothing at all, no lights, no 'click' as you turn the key. A slow lazy crank?

no year car told at all. using voltmeter what is battery voltage at idle.? not told' 13. to 15vdc is par, if below the alternator is dead or its fuses blown. if ALT is dead, driving the car , far (30min) will make engine stall and be dead,until battery is jump started or charged. that lamp comes of a reason, it means fully load test the battery and test the alternator correctly check all fuses scan the OBd2 port with a scan tool for charge system errors. If the battery is bad,the alternator can in fact refuse to charge it. intermittent battery cell shorts or opens can do that. batteries over 7 years are , love to fail. get the service manual. the users guide does not cover relays. or 2 persons find it. one key start (cranking) other one finds the relay that clicks cranked bingo found, and can click even bad.
