By 'reset', you mean having it open/close with one push of the switch? If so, you will need to 'hold' the open side of the switch until the sunroof completely opens.....hold the switch for about fifteen seconds; then push close side of switch until sunroof closes.....hold the switch for about fifteen seconds-or until you hear a beep. This should 're-program' your sunroof.

REMOVE THE FRONT KIDNEY EMBLEM, GET A DENTAL HOOK FROM HARBOR FREIGHT, AND TUG ON THE OPEN SPOT WHERE YOU CAN SEE THE ACTUAL CABLE, THIS WILL ACTIVATE THE LATCH TO OPEN. GO TO THE JUNKYARD TO PRACTICE ON AN ALREADY OPEN ONE SO YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS.

Check battery. Check solenoid. Check starter moter. Check wiring to battery, solenoid, starter.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Check engine light comes on and off, these are indication that there is some error code stored in your vehicles ECM. The engine module computer needs to be scanned. These will give the code and as per the error code the further problem can be detected and confirmed. 1. Check coolant level and then do an actual temp check of the coolant once the thermostat has opened your checking to see if it is opening). (if coolant level was really low, monitor it every day for a week of driving -- need confirm not loosing it inside the engine) 2. Replace fuel filter. 3. Verify fuel pump is working properly. 4. Ensure fuel lines are not touch hot engine/exhaust parts (this percolates the fuel). 5. Run fuel injector cleaner (concentrated for 2 tanks) Use premium gas for one tank. 6. replace spark plugs (first if you have not for some time) (check spark wires (no more than 50 ohms resistance) Replace if greater)

I would consider the vapor in the engine normal. You will get a little stuff past the rings, and that's what the PCV system (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) is there to keep out of the air. If you're truly concerned, you can run a compression check to see if your rings have gone bad, but at 105,000 miles, I suspect wear is the answer, and normal.

You don't say what series BMW you are asking about but as a general rule there is a fuse box close to the firewall on the drivers side. On some models there are fuses under the back seat, again on the left side of the car. For a lighter it is probably a green (30 amp) fuse. Also the owners manual provides the fuse box location. Chech anything thats got to do with air throttle control it might be stuck from over the years of build up gas burning fumes. I will also say that BE stands for break my wallet or big money waister

it needs to be plugged in and coded im afraid.. the fact battery changed they tend to do various non funny things.. so full diagnostic and get rid of all history then do diag again for fresh faults...

have your battery checked as soon as possible. low voltage or current delivery will cause this problem on many bmw models.the main computer will shut down alomt of systems and put the car in failsafe mode....p.s i do not reply
