Sounds like it probably is a relay that's died. You will need to look in the relay box, assuming that car has one, and with luck, under the lid it will tell you which relay does what. Replace the turn signal relay(s). If they're not in a separate box, it/they are probably somewhere behind/under the dash. Sorry I can't be more specific :{

Have you checked to see if your flasher replay is working properly ? Sometimes over time, they go bad and freeze.

Try changing the spark plug/ignition coil to a different cylinder and see what happens. Compression test would be a good idea. A common problem is the boot at the throttle body cracking but vacuum leaks can be hard to find, sometimes it's a good idea to someone else take a look.

Are you saying it won't accelerate if you boot it? Can you explain the problem better. What have you done so far? Are the trans levels OK? When it accelerates is the engine revving out of synch with the speed you are going? ie Does it feel like something is slipping?

You should be able to use most Automatic Transmission Fluids (ATF), although if you have a manual shift car, then there is no ATF. Check the fluid level careful if you do have an ATF container, since it is very rare that you would lose fluid from the transmission.

No. The sensor will be held into the transmission case with a small bolt and a hold down. You will have to gently pry up on the sensor to remove it. They get pretty mucked up on the tranny.

Check for a bad fuse or fuse link built into the cable. check for battery voltage at the fuel relay. check the relay is engaging when the ignition is switched on and off . then check for voltage at the fuel pump by turning the ignition switch on and off, the computer will switch the voltage off if the engine does not start. check fuel pressure and flow, if flow is low replace fuel filter.
