Lost radio code, how to reset, 2003 BMW X5 E53 4.4 please?
If you take your registration ducument to a BMW dealership they will tell you the code for free, based on the VIN number.
Or look in the Glovebox for a small white sticker, or in the Owner's manual.
But, I found this
BMW hasn't used a "radio code" since the beginning of the e38/e39/e53/e46 generation of BMWs. That technology ended with the anti-theft radios used in BMWs prior to the aforementioned e series.
The code you see appearing on your nav screen or MID (you didn't indicate which radio setup you have)...is an anomaly of the OBC's immobilizing code probably brought on by the low voltage issues you were having. There have been many threads on this topic across multiple BMW forums in that usually a simple use of "0000" or "1234" works to get past the lockout once the battery issue or low voltage issue is fixed...or initiating the emergency deactivation of the CODE found in the owner's manual.
and this confirms it is the immobilizer code

BMW X3 3.0 1 & 6 are miss firing. Compression on 1 is 90PSI 2 is 120PSI 3 is180 4 is 167 SI 5 is 182 6 is 140
The compression is all over the place , Do the following To find the problem . remove all spark plugs , hold the throttle open while testing , compression test all cylinders one at a time and note the compression make sure the battery is fully charged , that is called a dry test, now do a wet test , add a teaspoon of oil to the cylinder you are testing and compression test, note pressure against dry test, if the pressure is unchanged the valves need attention ,if the pressure rises the piston rings are worn or stuck .
Where is the fuel tank vent valve located on a BMW X5 e70?
In most cars, the EVAP vent valve is located underneath the vehicle, close to or at the charcoal canister near the fuel tank. For that reason, it often fails due to corrosion. The most common problem with the vent valve is when it sticks open or fails.
